Where's Kate? Kill Notification Update

Someone's been faking pictures but why?

Since my post at the end of February about the disappearance of Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, things have taken a bizarre turn.

Normally, I pay no attention to the Royals, other than to highlight how useless they are, but this missing Kate story is a strange one.

Developments began about a week ago when a grainy image of ‘Kate’ and her mother in a car was published by a US publication.

The UK press, clearly miffed that they were being hushed up whilst the US paparazzi were allowed to release photos, started asking questions. Media personalities such as Piers Morgan started asking why the British tax payer wasn’t allowed to see pictures of the Princess they pay for whilst Americans were.

However, many disputed whether that was really Kate. It looked more like her sister, Pippa. But if it was here, her face was clearly very puffy.

The photo clearly had its desired effect and the UK general public started questioning what I had discussed weeks earlier - why had Kate not been seen?

This resulted in a photo of a decidedly less puffy faced Kate and her three children being posted on Instagram on Mother’s Day (As celebrated last Sunday in the UK). It was supposedly taken by Prince William.

Within minutes, this photo was reported on by all the mainstream papers. Look, Kate is perfectly fine they all cheered. But also within minutes, the internet sleuths began pulling the picture apart.

Anybody who questioned the photo was, as is normal nowadays, called a conspiracy theorist.

But there were numerous photoshop errors that were too big to hide.

For example the missing part of Princess Charlotte’s sleeve:

Other clear photoshop fails included Kate’s zip not aligning, patterns not lining up on Louis’ jumper; wonky edges; items ending abruptly instead of naturally smoothing out; blurred areas where everything else is sharp; and random lines where they shouldn’t be. In total, there were at least 16 obvious errors.

There were too many oddities to continue to pretend that the photo hadn’t been manipulated. But instead of trying to bury the story, as is usually the case, the mainstream media did something strange.

They sent round a ‘Kill Notification’ order advising clients not to use the photo any longer. This ‘Kill Notification’ was then publicised. The reason for killing the story was that “at closer inspection it appears that the source has manipulated the image. No replacement photo will be sent.”

That’s correct, Kensington Palace would not send the original unedited photo.

Then it got stranger still, The Prince and Princess of Wales’ Twitter account posted the following:

It appeared that Catherine was claiming that she was the mysterious photoshopper!

But if you read the carefully crafted tweet, it leaves the impression that Catherine edited the photos without actually saying so.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.” - Nothing to do with the current photo

“I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.” - Just an apology, not admitting that Kate had photoshopped it.

It is then signed “C” rather than the usual Catherine.

Suddenly, as with the ‘Kill Notification’, the mainstream press were having an absolute field day with the modifications and this tweet. This is strange because for the last few months the press have clearly been told not to report on Kate’s disappearance. But suddenly they are all allowed to talk about this mysterious photo.

Of course the one thing none of these press reports mention is that ‘Kate’ is not wearing her wedding or engagement ring in the photo.

Then, as this was all kicking off in the media, another photo was published. Suddenly the Princess of Wales had been seen again.

Or the back of her head was. Yes, that was the only image of Kate that was released.

This is being portrayed as one huge Royal faux pas. Due to the conspiracy theories, Kate was forced to release a picture, made a few edits and forget to check them before posting.

This is nonsense.

The Royals have one of the most sophisticated PR teams in the world. As was seen after Christmas, if they don’t want Kate’s disappearance being reported on, the press do as they are told.

The Mother’s Day photo was released for a reason. The photoshop editing errors were so basic, even a primary school child would know not to make them. And for there to be so many is very odd. You could understand if there was the odd spot or blemish that needed removing but if this was just a normal Mother’s Day picture, there would be no need to manipulate clothing etc.

A PR team would forensically check any image about to be released, especially under circumstances such as these. They would have spotted these photo editing errors in seconds, as the rest of us did.

It is evident that a badly photoshopped image was released on purpose so that the press would report on it. And they were given permission to do so.

Why is the question. Whilst the press is focussed on conspiracy theories and manipulated photos is something else happening? Or is this the slow release of some information about Kate or the Royal family? Information that needs shifting into the Overton window before it can be disclosed to a naive populace.

All is definitely not as it seems. It feels as if the Royals are trolling us with these deliberately bad photos.

Only time will tell what is going on in this strange saga.
