A dose of 1000mg (two 500mg caplets taken at one time) is the only remedy for my occasional migraines (thank you, Menopause Fairy for your gift). It was also very I mean extremely helpful in dealing with the pain of shingles, an outbreak of which I had otherwise well-managed with mega-doses of Vitamin C. I will in fact thank that shingles outbreak for my discovery of extra-strength aspirin. It's a strange thing that three 325mg caplets just didn't quite do the job that those two 500mg caplets did. Sometimes the tiniest increment is the magic.
