Eish, number 10: that sounds very much like "sovereign citizen" talk... Everybody doing what is right in their own eyes don't work so well either. Our fallen nature will show itself there too (and history is testament to that too)!
Not to be outdone, I stumbled upon the MOTHERLODE of unreported, unspoken horror published 8 years ago. That if the public was made aware, might have put a wrench in the works. Or with enough people who still retained the gifts of curiosity, critical thinking and the innate instinct for self-preservation, would end the path to global enslavement in its tracks.
Presenting the UN/WEF Agenda 2030/Great Reset in explicit detail, publish Nov 11, 2016… By the World Economic Forum , conveniently dovetailing with Trump’s election win, Brexit and the slew of global leaders elected on the same platform. Anti-globalism, national sovereignty, ending multinational trade deals, foreign intervention adventurism, tightening their borders, putting the kibosh on illegal immigration, mass deportation and ending legal entry for those who cannot assimilate or contribute nothing positive to the citizens ,despise our culture and way of life.
Quite a list! Regarding (10) I doubt that the author's theoretical anarchism is any more practical than Kropotkin's or anyone else's. We're stuck in a world where the best we're going to do is balance institutions against institutions, constantly negotiating and renegotiating the relations between them, encouraging peaceful relations as much as possible, in an environment where the only constant is changing conditions. Re: (3) I would not be surprised if we don't see an orchestrated "financial crisis" erupt between now and November, making the last one look like a elementary school cafeteria food fight by comparison, its goal being to create such an unraveling and so much chaos that holding an election on November 5 is impossible and Trump is kept out of office. Just sayin'.... I subscribed.
I don’t know… I pronounce ‘aluminum’ that way because it’s spelled that way. Always has been in my lifetime and throughout my education. That article about Americans pronouncing so many things ‘wrong’ was wild. Isn’t it normal for language to evolve over time? Is it really something worth writing an article about? Seemed pretty pedantic to me.
I grew up with English spelling, vocab and pronunciation. But sitting with my daughter, learning to read with phonograms, I have realised that American pronunciation is much more consistent than English.

Do you have a good twin and bad twin? Do they take turns picking selections?
Just wondering.
The last few weeks I've based Sunday's must-reads on what readers have read the most during the week.
