While in Walmart where I shop because I'm deplorable a sign caught my eye about a survey from GSK which I assume is what was once Glaxo Smith Kline. "A recent Advil study found* 3 in 4 Black people suffering from pain believe there is bias in how pain is treated. *Pain Equity Project Survey April 2023. Commissioned by Advil in Partnership with Moorehouse School of Medicine," Another sign next to it reads, "Together we will address pain bias at the source." Could someone help me understand how a medication can be racist if not then it's the doctor who's racist and how is GSK going to work to solve the problem at the source? Who is the source? I could add the picture of the sign but don't have that technical knowledge due to my deplorable status. Could the bullshit get any deeper?

It will likely get much deeper, but will have to move quickly.

I don't know how they came up with such an absurd observation -- haven't the drug manufacturers been only too happy to serve any and all, and to reward any who sell or prescribe their products?

Great articles, though you saved the best till last. Listening to the President of Guyana state the facts in such a proud and peaceful manner made me smile. We still have wonderful people on this planet after all. Completely wiped out all the other daft things happening out there. A glimmer of hope is still shining brightly.

There is an old Taoist story, in which a son breaks his leg, and all the villagers come to the father and say "oh, that's terrible," and the father says "perhaps," then the military comes to conscript all young men, and the father's son isn't conscripted, and the villagers say "how wonderful," and the father says "perhaps" etc. Here's the actual list of rainbow cult holidays, including pronoun day (if this isn't fake somehow) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GJ8xmJZW0AAtO64?format=jpg&name=900x900, however this concerted attack on tradition and Judeo-Christianity is yielding some interesting revivals. Joe Rogan and Russell Brand converted, and Martin Shaw, the mythologist converted to Orthodox Christianity and is starting a Christian mystery school: A New Direction

(I exclude Trump, who was in with Prosperity Gospel people, who were in the Subprime mortgages business, and who is now selling bibles, like, as someone on X pointed out, a Flannery O'Connor story, my favorite being Good Country People in which a bible salesman steals Hulga's (a woman with a PhD) wooden leg.)

My own religious ideas are so idiosyncratic that I am a heretic to the religious and way too Christian to my Sufi, New Age, Pagan and atheist friends. I think NDEs and the other evidence from physics and Darwin dissenters and paranormal research negate us needing religion to give us eternal life, but the Judeo-Christian mythos is far more polyvalent and symbolic than that and may, if not co-opted by the power mad or wealth obsessed or guru-ified or by those wanting more sexual access, which has happened repeatedly in history, pacify forgotten primitive aspects of ourselves, given to chimp frenzies of hatred and violence, and things like that. The issue is Chesterton's Fence-(https://sproutsschools.com/chesterton-fence-dont-destroy-what-you-dont-understand/)--what can be dispensed with for a faith to still be Christianity? Besides the globalist cult is after it in all nations and that alone recommends it to me. So Happy Easter, Christ is Arisen!!!
