Legitimate government does not try to insert itself between parents and their children. I was a teacher. Differences of opinion are normal. I would never suggest to a student that my viewpoint was more relevant or better than their parents'. I just wouldn't.

Maybe we ought to suggested John Kerry that the goal is not seeking consensus but seeking truth. That is the purpose of the first amendment.
