Couldn't happen to a more deserving nation.

In my kitchen, and in my linen closet, I have stuff inherited from my mom that was made in the USA. Towels that were part of her trousseau that are like 75 yrs old and holding up just fine. Revere Ware that I'd still be using if not for these miserable ceramic cooktops not made for the best cookware ever made. (insert pissed face here).

If American mfgs. haven't finally, finally, finally figured out that outsourcing everything to a totalitarian nation on the other side of the globe, then seriously and in all courtesy fuck 'em. Gonna be hard on us for awhile but maybe time for a reminder that we used to have Victory Gardens once.

As someone says below here, terrifying. Think of all those who won't be ABLE to make Victory Gardens... who are vulnerable already. It's going to be pretty damn hard on some folks... In the long run, maybe a good thing, sort of, or good results, at least, but I do not look forward to the suffering and/or deaths of undoubtedly many.

I'm among them already. And the suffering and death of everyone who lost a good manufacturing job since NAFTA; the destruction of the lower-middle class that used to be able to buy a very modest but very precious home on one salary; the people desperate because they couldn't help grandma and help their kids at the same time...

I worked most of my life from the time I was 17, and made an excellent middle-class living with a HS diploma, and my SS doesn't even pay my rent. If I hadn't worked during my kid's early years I'd have even less.

You think there's no fighting back without pain?

No, I don't believe I said anything like that. I'm a bit taken aback at your rather hostile response. I was merely commenting on, or lamenting in advance, the SUFFERING of those who are POWERLESS. Is that wrong? I think we're on the same side here. Perhaps I shouldn't have responded to you personally, and simply made a comment to the general whatever.

Are you a mind reader? Replace all US referencesin your post with Sweden at it's like from my mind to your text.

We call it allotment gardening here, not having had any military victories to crow about for a couple of centuries now (excepting the brave men and women who fought with the finns to stop Stalin's slavic and asian hordes, or all the swedish soldiers who has served and still serve abroad).

One thing people always forget about China, and to a lesser extent the chinese-influenced parts of Asia: chinese culture cannot invent. They can only copy, replicate and eventually through sheer numbers improve on things.

Nixon understood that, so did Trump. So did many european leaders, such as de Gaulle and Kohl before being ignorant and uneducated and having had a sheltered silver spoon up the you know what-upbringing became a virtue (became again I should say - look at pre-revolutionary France or the British Empire pre-1914).

Here in Sweden, for the first time in recorded history, Stockholm is experiencing net loss of people. And records go back some 600 years, at that. The demographics are clear: swedish families, age 30-45, one or more children, both parents in career professions where you can do a lot of work at/from home, or with skills that are in demand everywhere.

And it seems to be the same in the US, for the same reasons, if the NYP is to be trusted.

I get annoyed when any of my natural impulses are thwarted, and I've always--except for a peculiar sojourn overseas--lived in apts. One was a coop garden apt. and it was a little piece of paradise for someone like me--until the monster of all neighbors moved in upstairs.

Though it wasn't any great achievement to have grown chili peppers on my windowsill, I announce with great pride that for a good few years my indoor Meyer lemon tree flowered, fruited and graciously allowed me one juicy lemon a year. And that was in NY and a NE state, no "anyone can do that in FL" sort of pale achievement. The last lemon it ever gave me, I was tempted to use it (and harvest its seeds, I somehow have no reserves and don't know what the hell I was thinking) but I turned it into a pomander instead. that my progeny may keep it forever as tangible proof of ma's triumph.

I ain't got a lot to regret, in the cosmic scheme of things but I do feel sad that I will never have my own little tiny piece of dirt to work as I would.

I thought we were berating the lack of linen manufacturers?

Commercial corn production is up from 2 to 18 billion bushels since victory garden era.

AI not needed to help this, though undoubtedly it could if directed that way.

Japan hasn't got a manufacturer anywhere near any of those (apart from seating 5 people)

That is my stack. I take vitamin C effervescent one through out the day, and Metformin (you can use Berberine), that is about it. Peptides (BPC, TB500) should be taken with a empty stomach. The stack should be tailored to what people think it is their needs, thar is why I leave it pretty open.

Cue mega-inflation as buyers bid over dwindled supply... Will make 10% inflation look stable.

Fed will go to negative rates. Stocks, metals, cryptos will rebound to searing all time highs. Then something shit will happen just after mid-terms and it'll all fall to shit, only safe place will be reserve currencies and assets.... Whatever they end up being (yaun, krona, gold, bitcoin, Dogecoin, Tesla shares?)

Either we are missing something important, or something doesn't add up. China just told its people they can have 3 kids now (I presume in anticipation of moving the the vast spaces of the US, after we are eliiminated) so WHY are they locking down Shanghai? I think it is a little drastic (they have the Sino vac, right), just to keep up appearances???And cut off the supply chain globally but that is going to have an effect on their economy also. We know that it is a bioweapon, we know it kills the elderly. We know you cannot stop transmission by locking down your population. China manufacturers enough HCQ to treat its population. China has NEVER cared about its population. So what gives?

There is something I am missing. Help me out please, everyone. All I can think of is that 1) they don't have enough HCQ or Ivermectin to treat Shanghai prophylactically, or 2) those three folded proteins in it are really prions, so ...will cremation put them into the air and water And that even after death, we know prions (I think even after cremation) continue to live on in the soil, etc.....is there something about these prions the Chinese know that we don't?

Help please. My brain needs help, please?
