The world has always been run by the elite, both good and bad, mostly the latter. That’s because power is a much bigger magnet to bad actors than to good ones.
Many believe that since the Middle Ages the world has been run by secret societies made up of rich and powerful families who control the most powerful industries on the planet. What seems clear today is that a new form of fascism has emerged that is global in scale. It is a collusion between elites in the public and private sectors that is designed to gain complete control of everyone else. But the global elites now appear to be fighting among themselves and do not all share the same vision for what the world of 2030 or 2035 should look like. Things have gotten very complicated

Ive never had any doubt about a “they” doing all of this dreadful stuff globally; my question is which of the politicians/millionaires/billionaires/celebs/WEF-ers are really in control, or just greedy useful idiots & flying monkeys

Thank you for putting this together. It puts numbers and data to the theory I had when confronted by conspiracy advocates. It went something like this: if the top 5% own most everything or control it, what about the top 5% of that? If they move in ways to benefit themselves is that a conspiracy or emergent behavior?

One thing for sure. You don't have to have personal relationships with people to have enemies in the world. I forgot to mention this in another post where I was going back and forth with a person on the topic of enemies. I have never met most of my enemies in person. We know that enemies in positions of authority exist whose disastrous "ruling the world" decisions wreck havoc on everyone else's life. One example would be being forced to purchase an electric vehicle if you wanted to drive a car at all.

Excellent insights here. Makes me think of that clever ol’ Ephesian, Heraclitus, who believed in the universal concept of enantiodromia (later taken up by Nietzsche and Jung) - that everything is at all times in the process of becoming its opposite; hot things cooling, wet things drying, etc.
I think of this with regards to centralization vs. decentralization, top down control by a few vs. bottom up “spontaneous order” of the many, growth vs. value, life giving way to death, etc. The emergent membrane is like that undefinable moment in the process where one thing morphs into the other, when an edgy band becomes mainstream, when the politics of liberation becomes the politics of oppression and when a young man looks in the mirror one day and sees an old man staring back at him.

Fascinating! I remember seeing a similar analysis for venereal disease. The researchers found that a small number of highly promiscuous people spread diseases to everyone else, who individually tend to have a low number of sexual partners. The point is the same: what looks like a big, spread-out system is actually focused among a tiny number of nodes.

Where does “consciousness” ( the driver of the system ) reside?
I believe that it’s “non-local” so saying that it spontaneously evolves from a critical mass of cells is like saying that a TV program is a result of making a TV set. This is why a mechanistic view will never capture the real nature of societal interaction because each “node” is so unpredictable and doesn’t take into account the group consciousness that regulates a species.
