Exactly five years ago, to the day, Greta Thunberg tweeted the following:
Five years have gone by and we’re still using fossil fuels. According to Greta, that means humanity will be wiped out…
…although she doesn’t put a timeline on when we will be wiped out. Tomorrow? Next year? In a million years?
…and Greta has since deleted her tweet, probably so she can prepare a new one which says something similar about 2028.
The predictions she was referring to were made by James G. Anderson who is a member of the National Academy of Sciences in the US. In 2018, he wrote in Forbes that “the chance that there will be any permanent ice left in the Arctic after 2022 is essentially zero”.
Another ridiculous failed prediction.
But yet people still believe these eco-loons and actually impoverish themselves because of these never-realised prophecies.
But the day is not over yet, so perhaps she still may be right.

CO2 “absorbs” or more accurately reflects infrared light in very narrow wavelengths, specifically 4.3 μm and 14.9 μm. Outside of these wavelengths CO2 has virtually no effect.
Our atmospheric CO2 levels are such that additional CO2 will have a negligible impact on absorption or reflection resulting in greenhouse heating. Once past 20 ppm greenhouse heating is reduced by more than 4x and beyond 100 ppm it’s barely noticeable. Going to 2,000 ppm CO2 levels won’t cause anything to happen outside of giving plants more food. Temperatures will stay about the same.
This is the science. Unfortunately 99.999% of the adult western population is scientifically illiterate. I suppose it’s hard to learn science while keeping up with the Kardashians.

Apocalyptic prophesies have been around for at least 2000 years - and so far none have been right. But we love to scare ourselves with them don't we! Of note is that Paul the Apostle and Jesus Christ come from the same line of doomsdayers. Paul and Jesus thought that God was going to return in the first year of the first century to wipe out all us miserable sinners! But someone is going to be right some day - my tip is 5million years from now when the Sun in its death throws expands to the size of the rotation of the earth around the Sun. Now that will be global warming!

I'm noticing a pattern whereby "experts" (who are considered the most intelligent in our society) continually make incorrect predictions - and then when they are proven wrong, instead of changing course, we are told we need to double-down on the original proposed "solution." And the "treatment" is usually worse than the "cure."
It's not just going on with "climate change." It's been going on for at least decades, if not centuries, with our medical "experts." A substacker who calls himself A Midwestern Doctor posted a really interesting series on this phenomenon last year:

Funny that, how we never hear scentists come out and say "Uhm, guys, you know that thing we said was certain? Well-l-l-l... turns out it wasn't. My bad, but hey - no hurt, no foul right?"
