French tennis star Ugo Humbert revealed his doctors told him there might be a connection between the vaccine and the issues with which he was dealing late last year. After losing in the Toronto first round, Humbert took the COVID-19 vaccine.
Humbert appeared in four more events and, after picking up four consecutive defeats, he decided to put an end to his 2021 season. Humbert underwent testing to determine what was the reason for some of the issues with which he was dealing but the tests revealed nothing.
The doctors confirmed the issues could have been a negative reaction to the vaccine but nothing can be said with certainty.
Humbert was asked whether he talked with other French tennis players about the matter. "No, I'm not the only athlete. I also heard others talking about it, and I know it can happen. I was part of that situation, but I really want to forget about all this. There were tough times. I prefer not to talk about it anymore," Humbert added.
