Two years ago today I posted my first article to Substack - Correlation between increased mortality rates and the vaccination programme in England. Eventually it got 10 likes and five comments! Not a bad start but things quickly grew.
Now thousands and thousands of you receive my newsletter every day - what a difference a few years make!
So to celebrate, I am offering a discount on annual subscriptions.
It would be great if you would sign up and support independent writers such as me. Your subscriptions really do make all the difference! I try to make as many of my articles free because I want everyone to read and enjoy them. Must-reads are for subscribers only most of the time because after a poll, many of you said you would prefer it that way if you were paying.
So don’t hesitate, sign up now because this offer is only for 24 hours. I may even use some of the cash to buy a can of beer for the NE work Christmas party for one!
Or if you are still thinking of what to get your loved ones this Christmas, don’t shy away from buying them a gift subscription - they’ll love it and will give you something to talk about over Christmas dinner!
And a final point before I go. You may also want to sign up (not paid) with a second email address because, similar to Twitter, subscribers suddenly disappear into thin air. I watch the numbers very closely and I get notifications every time somebody unsubscribes. However, every couple of weeks, a couple of hundred subscribers will just suddenly disappear.
I’ve asked Substack about this and they claim they are just removing spam email accounts. But the disappearances are too regular and too numerous so I fear that, like Twitter, you reach a threshold and then subscribers are suddenly unsubscribed whether they like it or not.
So keep checking you are subscribed or sign up with a backup email just in case.
NE
I have been unsubscribed from several writers multiple times and have had to resubscribe often. It is definitely not appreciated by me, the reader, and as you write, not by the writers. Looks suspicious but if not malicious, maybe Substack will correct this problem.,
I landed here on Substack also two years ago looking for information and to explain all the lies and contradictions being handed out to the public. I was not disappointed, Thanks NE and Substack. Hopefully the site remains reliable and improves on details such as noted above.
Thank you for all your good work. I've subscribed and unsubscribed a couple of times as work waxes and wanes... sorry. I do appreciate you.
