Re: Alex vs. Jessica. Same study—no confusion, no contest. Alex just read the headline and jumped on it because it satisfied his unfounded confirmation bias against ivermectin.

Like Jessica, Igor breaks down the study’s data, which actually proves the success of IVM:

For whatever reason, none of them savory, Alex is hellbent on fighting ivermectin, despite hundreds of studies demonstrating its efficacy at every stage of COVID:

AB is kind of shifty... that time when he did his number on an unsuspecting Malone on TV was when I unsubbed, not because I think Malone is infallible, but the sneaky behavior of AB showing him to be untrustworthy and unreliable.

Alex may have left the legacy media but seems devoted to keeping his membership in the blue check fraternity if only by supporting part of the false narrative as proof he is not in the "fringe" camp who question all the science just an acceptable fraction.

The dude gives me a big time cramp with an ego far larger than his expertise and petty attacks aimed at critics rather than toxic profiteers.

Nailed it, Pamela! 😆💯

I was going to tell you that the Jessica reference and the Alex reference are to the same paper, but, not surprisingly, Margaret Anna beat me to it! The Chudov Substack she quoted is probably the single best look at this paper. The fact is that all of the conclusions (in both directions vis-a-vis invermectin) are not statistically significant because the study group was too small so the study is underpowered...and you can slant it either way if you want.

As far as Alex B, he is a reporter and writer first and a crusader for a better world as a result of his first love. He is particularly good at making headlines out of things that otherwise would often be ignored. He is one of the few that can reach out of the echo chamber and one has to respect that. He has biases I do not understand, and I do not agree with everything he says and find his battle with Malone elusive. But in the fullness of everything, our disagreements are not enough for me to just throw the baby out with the bathwater. He is generally doing good work in a good way, and I find very few people that agree with EVERYTHING I say (surprising I know...) either.

Thank you for the info and balance, Dr. K. I've been wondering about AB myself. You might be able to tell me, did he ever modify/recant his old claims about marijuana vis a vis thuggish behavior of inner-city Blacks?

"...Alex is hellbent on fighting ivermectin..."

Yes. Both Alex, and that other guy, Steve Kirsch.

Expand full comment

Huh? Kirsch tells that IVM can help all the time. That's an odd way of fighting.

That's what I was going to say—thanks, InfoHog!

Thank you for this fantastic list. What an immense amount of work that is such a time saver for those of us searching for the most critical news. Many thanks!

I totally agree with your comment. Thank you NE.

I don’t know how you find the time to evaluate and summarize all this. Impressive!

Indeed - he must spend even more time reading vast numbers of web pages, Google email alerts, Substack articles and the like and bookmarking them than I do. Then he lists them with brief descriptions in a Substack article!

Concerning climate change, why does it even matter if it's real or not? What cannot be debated is that if government is given the automatic unlimited power and money to combat it, will only make the problem worse, not better.

Oh my! A veritable trove ~ thank you 💛

By the way, thanks for the comprehensive list. This is just the type of info I seek. Thanks and enjoy the weekend.

I cannot find the reference, but I think he at least ameliorated his stance as I recall. (There is an article about it somewhere but I now have way too many articles I am tracking :(. ) Alex is not really the type to recant...

I have generally found him responsive to the truth over the years and he has morphed his position more than once. But headline creators seldom make headlines about not being correct if they can avoid it. It is just how they approach the world. But Alex has been generally intellectually honest and is not afraid to buck the system at a time when we really, really need people who have well-heard voices that will buck the system.

Oh, one question: What is the meaning of your avatar?

(Please don't take time away from your work just to answer. I'm sure I will find out as i catch up on your earlier substacks.)

so you'd say I should watch that show? Because of Maiden, I searched for that and... found... it in long forgotten streams of the infinite web, and it has been collecting magnetic dust on the drive since then

Hmm...magnetic dust. Could I clean my house just by reversing the poles? (Nice writing, M. Info.)

Iron Maiden did a song based on the show. Think it was released in 1982 on the "The Number of the Beast" album.

Personally, I'm thankful you didn't pick 'ZardoZ' as a source for your avatar.

I AM NOT A NUMBER! I AM A FREE MAN! HAHAHAHA!

I quoted that on a few occasions in the past 2 years, when subjects of technofascists' desire to track everyone for everything etc came up in reports or were subject in conversation... that line burst out of my mouth... to the confusion of some people.

And the next line in the chorus certainly fits our time:
