I'm so tired of reading stories about rising HIV cases (such as the one from the Philippines) which try to put the blame on anything and everything but the primary cause - namely, gay/bi and transgender men who have unprotected sex with other men.
A quick glance at Wikipedia's entry on HIV-AIDS in the Philippines tells us what the prissy mass media won't: "Cases are concentrated among men who have sex with men. HIV cases among men having sex with men multiplied over 10 times since 2010 HIV cases are getting younger."
Bingo.
Of course, in this woke era where sexual discretion has hit new lows and fear of causing offence new highs, these inconvenient truths - which explain much about this disease's intractability over half a century - must be quietly ignored or buried.
Huge sums are spent on campaigns to reduce HIV national and global infection rates, with PEPS as well as old-fashioned, highly-effective condoms readily available for those most at risk. So why, for heavens sake, don't more gay/bi and trans men (many of whom also indulge in unprotected sex with wives and girlfriends) use them?
