The article on “An Absolutely Enormous Economic Shift Of Historic Proportions Is Now Taking Place Right In Front Of Our Eyes” appears to me an example of fear mongering. Where I live and people I know have not experienced anything similar. Traffic has not slowed down which is always a sign things are bad. Prices are high, gasoline over $5, ground beef $5lb at Costco and $6.50 at grocery stores. Restaurants prices are up and so are labor costs for construction workers. None of the increases in prices or costs seems to have created an obvious crisis. Maybe it’s an attempt to manufacture a mindset of doom? Maybe we are in the “very slowly stage just waiting for the “all at once”.
Thanks for this weeks must reads…in particular the banking system off-balance sheet liabilities. We are in very dire straits indeed. We’re facing a correction of biblical proportions. The problem is that it’s too late to adequately prepare. Pax
True, but math is a very powerful force that can only be manipulated for a period of time. At some point (and in this case very soon) the math will catch up to the manipulation with staggering effect. No one to blame but ourselves. Unfortunately, there will be a lot of unnecessary hardship that folks will have to face for quite some time. Reminds me of the phrase "hard times makes strong men...strong men make good times...good times make weak men...weak men make hard times" - I'm sure all can appreciate where we are in the cycle. Pax
What exactly was Janet Woodcock saying here: "I’m disappointed in myself,” she added. “I did a lot of things I feel very good about, but this is one of the few things I feel I just didn’t bring it home.” Rewrite and omit: "I’m disappointed in myself,” she added. "This is one of the few things I feel." "I just didn’t bring it home.”
The mice doing their own experiments!
Douglas Adams wrote about it.
What a sage that man was!
Thanks, Mr Emperor.
Lots to think about and digest.
Wouldn't it be lovely if the lab animals bit the totally unaware scientists to determine if they were sentient or not?

Where I am, in well off areas, pay rises have enabled most to weather the storm...for now. However, those on low incomes are struggling.
Agree. Once I saw the source, I closed the window.
You're not going to read anything positive on the economic collapse blog!

“WEF president: ‘We haven’t seen this kind of debt since the Napoleonic Wars’.”
Oh? So you’ve been around for at least that long, WEF?!
Have you not heard about the vampires?

Depends on how long they can kick the can down the road for. It's already far longer than I expected! Got to give them credit for that I suppose!
