“Sapolsky has reached the conclusion that virtually all human behavior is as far beyond our conscious control”

I think the professor reveals, in making such a claim, far more about his own intellect than anyone else’s. He’s confessing his inability to function above the biological level — the failure of his intellect to perceive its own reality.

In the same breath, he will doubtless say that the same humans who lack free will can create “AI” with a will to take over the world.

Watch the professor carefully: he will very soon pull off the remarkable feat of disappearing up his own asshole.

he's the garden-variety baby/bathwater type. rejected one sort of cult thinking and joined an equal-but-opposite cult.

Damn scientists, always projecting!

Actually, he's an old school liberal, lives in San Francisco, studied baboons in Africa, teaches at Stanford, and is scathingly brilliant, though of the atheist/no free will persuasion like Daniel Dennett. Testifies at criminal trials. Writes popular books on stress and human behavior. It was from his lectures (Robert Sapolsky Rocks or youtube) that I learned that when Us/Them tribal persecutions begin, those most envied are persecuted the most heavily and barbarously. Although intuitively I think he's wrong, though hot cognition is certainly not willed, I think this academic debate, with its clearly delineated academic positions is beyond my pay grade lol.

He's really revelatory on Hate and the Brain though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5g_LAoUYZQ

“That anti-Semites walk among us, in Britain in 2023, is stomach-turning enough. But it’s much worse than that. They are on the march. They are cocksure, almost gleeful.”

Probably being paid just like BLM was by the same funder, GS.

Yes, fake Jews like George Soros do that. The language is corrupted as the word should be anti-Jewish not anti-Semites but GS and others like to confuse things as much as possible.

"While cancers have steadily fallen over recent decades, scientists have been MYSTIFIED!!! by an explosion of colorectal cancer cases, also known as colon cancer, in younger adults who have traditionally been at low risk of the disease." Uses obvious homosexual male as example in the article. I know a gay man who, while seeing a consultant for a possible colon issue, accused him of "homophobia" when he suggested it was his "lifestyle" which was the cause of his malady. The headline should read "Anal sex leads to rise in colon cancer in young men". You can't even diagnose the cause of a disease for fear of offending some "oppressed group". Clown World.

They write these woke books no doubt in part because they can get them published and make money, but the scary thing about cancelling Orwell is that the irony is obviously lost on them. Like the pharma funded Congressperson who tried to silence RFK jr at the Congressional hearing on censorship. They are clueless. I used to think this was a crazy function of dogmatic religion, but no, unless we define wokeism as a dogmatic religion. Reminds me of John Wycliffe:

"The Council of Constance declared Wycliffe a heretic on 4 May 1415, and banned his writings. The Council decreed that Wycliffe's works should be burned and his bodily remains removed from consecrated ground. This order, confirmed by Pope Martin V, was eventually carried out in 1428.[11] Wycliffe's corpse, or a neighbour's,[38]: 121  was exhumed; on the orders of the bishop the remains were burned and the ashes drowned in the River Swift, which flows through Lutterworth.[39]" (c. technofascistapedia)

It is kind of a dogmatic religion.

Burning electric cars must be dunked in baths of water to stop fires spreading. Battery-powered vehicles pose a medley of risks in indoor car parks, ministers told. Car park spaces should become wider and burning electric cars dunked in baths of water, under proposed government guidelines to prevent battery fires spreading out of control.

there's morons, and then there's morons.

and now for an old truth--people find jew-hatred very pleasurable. but that's because christians and muslims--members of two cults--still struggle with the awful feelings of secret fear that what if daddy really does love the predecessor cult best?

jealousy, resentment and rage. all of it for the stupidest of reasons.

I cannot imagine why the people in Africa would choose to burn oil or coal instead of dung. I’m thinking they also prefer malaria to DDT...

Well done for gathering it all together, quite a task I imagine.

Re "examining the human tongue for signs of illness". When I was young the doctor routinely checked the tongue. I doubt the ignorant NHS doctors bother to do that and certainly didn't check me with my health issues during the last 5 years.

Not that I have seen one for over a year.
