My first thought was.....this man must take care, look what happened to so many African leaders who said nein to the poisonous covid injections. However, the BRICS nations are becoming ing a force to be reckoned with so he may not be a target? I wish I could shake this man’s hand for pointing out the sheer hypocrisy of western nations.

The only people I know currently holding the moral high ground are those courageous non government experts who attempted to help the government avoid the disastrous path they were taking us down. Unfortunately instead they vilified those attempting to save them from themselves.

For so very long, “elites” in the West were able to pontificate & deceive re the “moral high ground.” But perhaps the scamdemic is the undoing, the final bridge-too-far (because even the rich & powerful, maybe especially the rich & powerful) for much saner non-western & 3rd world countries

The western elites /are/ moral hypocrites! They have been for a long time, especially since WW2 and the application of Victor's justice in the Nuremberg trials where germans were tried for their crimes while the hundreds of thousands of allied officers and soldiers equally guilty of targetting civilians and the rape of nearly a million german girls and women were brushed under the carpet.
I'm all for prosecuting the german high command and offcier corps but...
...Operation Paperclip ring any bells? All the various ops the british ran where their agents infiltrated and wore enemy uniforms as cover? (Yep, that's a war-crime.) The british concentration camps for boer civilinas in South Africa decades earlier? The US virtual genocide in their illegal war of occupation in the Philippines? Or the US invasion(s) of Cuba, just because US corporations and mafia and politicians lost their pet dictator and tax evasion/money laundering haven?
Or the fact that 99% of nazi functionaires were pardoned and put back to work by the occupying forces? Or how the UK, the US, Germany and France kept trying to play the Great Game after WW2, destabilising the entire Middle East? Or...

Mbalula makes some good points. Perhaps he should be running the country rather than Ramaphosa. According to an article in the New Yorker by Robin Wright in June of 2021:

Africa's problem with the ICC is the disproportionate prosecution of leaders of the developing world, which begs the question why are they signatories? The country that probably holds the most sway behind the scenes is the US and they are not a member of the ICC (neither is China or Russia). That in itself is hypocritical.
I wonder though if Mbalula will disregard the SA High court as easily as he would the ICC. The DA won their case and the High Court ordered that Putin has to arrested if he steps onto SA soil.
I wish there were some we me as an average schmoo in the west (USA) could help this revolt. I can't get a letter to editor published and there is no point in saying anything to "my" "representatives". Simply not watching BBC or reading NYTIMES is not enough.
My thinking is "we" need to organize our own UN, our own set of talking heads. The whole shadow government thing. Assault that propaganda army. And then, how long before that gets bought out? How would one set up a shadow "state"? I think it happened in Rhode Island late 1700s; didn't turn out so well. Something akin to School of Living, Habitat Americorp and Willing Workers on Organic Farms to provide food security, mutual aid and fallback position for activists and families who lose their lives and livelihoods from noncompliance. Perhaps a new online portal for skills sharing, labor credit system or new greenstamp to create alternative economy, value and unity of purpose.
