It is truly so sad. The loss of anyone due to malfeasance of ethical duty is a tragedy but there's a unique anguish to death in the midst of the joy of new life or its anticipation.

There is a hint in data, the only demographic to see a drop in mortality over the reported period were black women, equally the most at risk from covid and simultaneuously the least vaccinated.

I'm actually a bit surprised that the numbers are that low. It's gone from exceedingly rare to slightly less rare. Very hard to draw conclusions from small numbers.

Is the increase in thrombosis and thromboembolism due to the patients having had an earlier covid infection or the lingering effects of an earlier infection? Does spike protein persistence play a role?
