I read this book around 20 years ago - definitely worth a read. He documents the 'evil' parents, invariably unseen, behind disfunctional kids. He exposes them as often being cloaked as well respected citizens but in truth they are the 'people of the lie'. I was recommended this book by a friend whilst dealing with a very strange situation and I have to say it really shone a light on what was happening.

Great book. The Road Less Traveled was a huge best seller. This was the follow up and it dealt with a very difficult subject: evil. Next came The Different Drum, another best seller.

People would actually read books then also. Books we would choose to read, going to a book store was one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
