As a long standing reader of the Daily Telegraph any article written by Sarah Newey or Paul Nuki in the Daily Telegraph must be viewed with extreme caution when under the “Global Health “tag.
If no reader comment is permitted at the end of the article you can be pretty certain it’s pure propaganda.
I have read the Telegraph since 1969 but my current sub ends next month and I am not renewing.
I am heartily sick to death of the misinformation be it Covid , Ukraine, climate etc much of which is now blatant and there is no way I am paying for rubbish journalism.
The mainstream media in my view is committing suicide.
I completely agree and would add that when comments are allowed, most commentators see through these articles. I’m suspicious of everything I read in the DT and like you have been reading it since I was a child. I like the Sudoko though!
The interventionist frame of mind always reminds me of this self-help principle:
"A fantastic analogy for the power of focus is racing cars. When your car begins to skid, the natural reflex is to look at the wall in an attempt to avoid it. But if you keep focusing on what you fear, that's exactly where you'll end up. Professional racers know that we unconsciously steer in the direction of our focus, so with their lives on the line, they turn their focus away from the wall and towards the open track." —Tony Robbins
Or you could stop unrestricted travel by letting airlines et c carry their own costs, institue proper border control, regulate wetlands (not destroy, regulate and keep a few wetlands areas with no settlements nearby), stop agricultural methods that are bad for - drum roll - the small birds that eat mosquitoes, ensure populations of larva-eating fish thrive, and so on.
You could, but there'd be little to no capitalist profit from it, so it won't be done.
I read that the genetically modified mosquitoes they released in Brazil created bigger problems as they evolved into hybrid versions that were resistant to insecticides. Of course the company benefitting from the mosquitoes found no problems in their company funded studies. It seems they're trying to solve problems by creating them...
The cure is worse than the disease in so many instances. Just listen to the disclaimers on all the drug commercials out there these days. The covid shot is the crown jewel. No action seems to be better than experimental fixes.
They aren't playing with fire... instead of a mouthful of petrol, they're drinking a gallon and setting fire to themselves.
The only problem is that they believe that this utterly insane notion is safe and that their creation won't have any unintended consequences... that is pure hubris.
In 1984 I wrote a "futuristic" novel and, almost 40 years later, every single piece of technology I "invented" is now a reality. In the novel I realised that the creations I came up with had a lot more than the good intentions attached to them, but, unlike these "scientists", my "creators" questioned whether they were doing the right thing as their creation could also go horribly wrong.
How the hell did we even make it to 2023 as humans?
If they can’t make us eat ze 🐜🐞🐛🪲, they’ll kill us w/ ze 🪰🪳🦟🦗

.. while trying to urge murder

While we’re on the topic of Dengue, ask the Filipinos how that Dengue vaccine worked out for them and their (dead) children.
And they are trying the Dengue jabs AGAIN there!
I'll be honest, I didn't have mosquito lockdowns on my bingo card.
A year or two before Covid, Zika was all the rage in S. Florida as a way to scare people.
I actually did! But for malaria in the US. Especially here in Maryland where we love a good lockdown!
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to respond to the long litany of abuses in a "constructive" way.
I wonder about the impact of spraying insectides on biodiversity, the ecology, bees and people with chronic illnesses and chemical sensitivies.
Aren’t mosquitoes part of the food chain? Why are they trying to eliminate a part of the ecosystem?

Gates supplies the mosquitoes as well. Just ask the Hawaiians

And you NEVER hear disclaimers about the clot shots - just “safe & effective” like no other advertised med ever.. Really weird 🙄
This is silly. Imported cases of malaria, dengue happen all the time. Spraying Paris is theater.
Let’s not forget the ‘World Mosquito Program’ proudly sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

They are probably spreading a new “variant “ or new poison. Get ready- pay attention to the news if we hear an outbreak in Paris has emerged
