I am a long time paid subscriber. I sympathize with all of those who note that subscribing to all the substacks that are worth reading will bankrupt one. But I have found that this one is worth the money. My great fear is that the good writers will have to go back to working at McDonalds if they cannot make a living here. While I enjoy a Big Mac, I would rather sacrifice one and have NE keep writing. Just one man's opinion.

Dr. K is a wise man. Don't send me back to Ronald!

I will have to remain unpaid - retired 77 yr. old with teenage female daughter I adopted a few years ago to keep her out of foster care and its possible horrors. (Read White Oleander by Janet Fitch) I work to battle inflation and tread water simultaneously. I will share you with others younger than I to hopefully get subscribers as you are on point and worthy of a large audience.

If i were in a position to take out a paid subscription to your and other substacks, I certainly would. I more than appreciate all the time and effort going into reading up and keeping us informed. However, as it is we are taking a 30% cut from an extremely meagre old age pension for having lived abroad. With healthcare, food, energy and rising inflation being what they are, we have a tough time staying afloat as is, and simply cannot afford to make a monthly contribution. If our fortunes would ever change, you and your partners in “crime” would be the first I would make a monetary contribution to. I am sorry naked emperor, but that is simply the way things stand here. My feelings as well. I follow quite a few substacks, some are regular and some not so much. I make a few one-off payments via the likes of Koffi to those that have the option. If I were to be paying $50 to 70 to a few of them I simply couldn't afford them, I could get a newspaper sub for that. At, say, $£20 per annum I would consider supporting a number of substacks.

Currently I pay monthly to Daily Sceptic which gives me daily articles ang good value for money.

Is there a way to contact Substack publishers in a private message? I've been looking everywhere to contact you directly about a billing issue. Thanks

If you want to increase your monthly subs you can email me @ theNE (full NE words) @ protonmail.com . If you want to cancel your subscription that email might not work. I'm kidding, use the email above whatever it is.
