Sometimes I feel like these morons who never can admit that they were fooled will never wake up.

Maybe we need more boosters for them.... Let's do it weekly until they no longer can support this nanny state nonsense.

We are the carbon they seek to remove, comrade. They also don't care about the billions of useless masks in the ocean that will take centuries to decompose.

Exactly what I said to a friend when she mentioned Greta. Where is that kid now, that they are pouring millions of masks and probably more in the oceans. Climate change has always been. Paper and plastic masks haven't.

Yep. Once carbon was declared a pollutant, humans became de facto hive-insect parasites. The Exterminators (read: Statists) are coming for us.

I like the way you think, M. (honk, honk). M. Jeff Cutler mentioned above a general truth, "Western Civilization has become soft," but that blood runs deep, and thickens quick. The future is unwritten, and we may find our demise, but we're not going quiet in the night. Ever.

Frankly, many of us Americans think the naming of storms is stupid too. No apologies necessary. It was started by The Weather Channel, a TV weather station, and the rest piled on. You are exactly correct; it is infantile. I'm so sick of hearing about "historical" storms, "generational" storms, "biblical" and "100-year" storms. Jeez.

If on Android, you should be able to get rid of it via the settings / apps, or app info, app management or something similar, then uninstall.

If on Apple, a lump hammer or Tannerite is safest.

The media thrives on fear porn and will blow everything out of proportion to get viewers. They are doing the same thing with Russia and Ukraine. Our politicians are still drunk on power and will shift to the next crisis to maintain the population's dependence on them to 'save' them from the bad things. The pandemic made a large group of humanity risk adverse. My husband likes to mention that odds of being seriously injured or dying in a vehicle accident far exceed covid or climate change harm odds, but we all get into our vehicles every day without anxiety. My greatest fear is that we have created a generation of children who will grow up anxious, unable to find resilience in the face of the normal hardships that are a regular part of life.

The world would be a far better place if most of the worlds media / journalists were sacked.

Failing that, they should be required to report only the truth, not opinion.

Failure to do so should result in a ten million dollar / pound fine for each lie told and the journalist placed in stocks for a few days.

Love the sentiment, but who decides the truth? I say it must be left to each individual to decide, at all times and in all cases. That's why there really is no such thing as "mis"-information, and all "fact checking" and media/expert/elitist/Statist opinion/intervention is nothing other than stealth censorship.

We rail against "social media." No. Social media/tech will save us, because they can shut down even Substack, and we'll make another one. Schrödinger's cat is out of the box, and he's alive and free and witnessed by any individual who dares to pay attention.

Don't sack the world's media/journalists; publish them all.

The problem with letting them publish articles they know to be lies, is that much of "the public" believe it without question.

Whoppers like;

BLM had a peaceful protest, when city blocks were actually burned down and people were murdered.

Antifa don't exist, when they were hospitalising a great many people and causing mass destruction and chaos.

Experts say the vaccines are safe and reliable...

Trump supporters should have their children taken away for reeducation...

Hunter Biden - Hillary Clinton - Nothing to see here...

New York and London will be underwater by the year 2000.....

The Syria gas attack that never happened.....

Heart attacks can be caused by your duvet, winter, Christmas trees, breathing, loneliness, energy prices, paracetemol, climate change, the pandemic, snow, healthy diets, moving the clocks forward.

All of those examples are real.

All deserve the journalists being redeployed to Siberia. In their underpants.

Deliberately so. It must have been astounding to the first elites when they figured out how easy it was to control population via a scare campaign. And then they started putting their laws, installed by fear, into steles. And then into parchment/books, which they said were from god. And now they're trying to put it into our cells (literally and figuratively)

1. If THEY didn't add in advice to get vaccinated at the bottom of the storm warning, THEY just aren't trying anymore.

2. I wonder if that one nutjob who threatens to move to Switzerland thinks that their neighbor will be heart broken when said nutjob and 4 nutjob kids move away.

3. House arrest for everyone, except if you own a private jet? Seems so progressive, so equitable. Has a group of people ever been more played than the "progressives"?

I agree with everything you've said except for the naming of storms. Here in NC, we get multiple hurricanes per decade, even per year. Many are nothings, some are horrible. Names are just a convenient way to keep them straight. It's a lot easier to talk about Hurricane Hugo than "You know, that one hurricane a few years ago that happened in, uh, was it August? Or July? Well, you know, the one that took the roof off the house at the end of the street...no, not that one, the other one..."

Air pollution is, of course, an actual, real problem (and so is plastic pollution) BUT the people in high political chairs are merely pretending to care about it, and very cynically, they are using it to promote their control agenda and to help out their super-moneyed corporate sponsors. The super-moneyed corporate sponsors are, of course, the ones creating pollution in the first place... it's a win-win for them, lose-lose for us. It boils down to the same existential issue!!!
