I had chronic heartburn for years. I lived on Tums. I suffer esophagitis to this day.

I've had no problems since I quit eating sugars, HFCS, and fried food at restaurants.

I make french fries deep-fried in butter at home; they give me zero issues. And they're delicious.

It's all the synthetic crap in our food supply that's killing us. I believe in the 1900 diet -- if it didn't exist in 1900, don't eat it.

Maybe 1700 would be even better.

I'm no nutritionist, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that our beliefs in what is or isn't good for us comes mainly from manufacturer trying to 'influence' us into buying their products. You can't even trust the gov't watchdogs anymore, because they're on the take.

A good introduction to the issue of seed oils can be found in this presentation from 4 years ago by Dr. Chris Knobbe. He has found a lot of agreement since then.
