It's incomprehensible to me, what's happened to the UK in my lifetime.

Don't worry, this being a government decision, there's only a 50% chance it actually happens.

And it will take decades & billions of dollars if they actually do it, Sim!

Maybe they'll cut down the trees and never get around the to road.

Because destroying ancient trees & beauty is the goal 🤬

Expand full comment

Sadly I think there might be truth in that. There is a deep unconscious hatred of beauty in much of the population today.

Deep hatred for “good” as well

Expand full comment

Yes. I have to offer the counter position too though, for encouragement Cindi. While there is really a lot of madness out there, and a lot of unconscious hatred of all that is good, and hunger for destruction, there are also a lot of people who are so, so good...... we have to hang on to that.

Wait, wasn't that the purpose of the "biomass" green energy project?

If that's true their efficiency program must be finally working.

It's not a government decision. The decision to instal a wireless 'smart grid' across the planet consisting of high frequency microwaves (which get blocked by trees) is coming from way above governments. The 5G infrastructure is designed for robots, drones and automated vehicles (like the proposed buses in the article). It is not designed for humans (or trees). Some speculate the agenda to blanket the Earth in microwave radiation (wireless infrastructure) is not even coming from humans at all, but from AI which the maniac globalist technocrats are taking orders from. That would certainly explain a lot.

I don't care if the article says 'optically guided' bus route. It will be lined with microwave transmitters which will 'talk' to the buses all the way along the route. That means no trees. Trees block 5G microwave signals. Also trees (and shrubs and bushes) also have a habit of dying on the side facing the microwave antennas or smart meters. Having the leaves and bark fall off trees next to cell antennas/ smart meters is not good PR for the wireless industry (if it's doing that to trees what is it doing to us?!) and so the best solution is to just get rid of trees from urban areas altogether, which is what they have been doing for the past 5 years or so.

In some residential areas they now plant mature trees (firs) until they die from the microwaves in a year or two and then they just replace them (like you would a bunch of flowers). Eventually they will just use plastic trees. The idiots glued to their smartphones probably won't even notice. In Thailand they are now playing piped bird and cricket sounds in and around tourist hotels because wireless infrastructure has decimated the local bird/ insect populations leading to an eerie silence...

All of this is a perfectly logical thing to do. You either have wireless infrastructure or biological life. You can't have both. Everyone making comments about how 'crazy' or 'unbelievable' this is needs to stop pointing the finger at the government or local councils and realise this is all being enabled by the public's own addiction to wireless technology.

If you want to save the trees (and the insects, and the birds and your pets and the human race) then you need to abandon your wireless addiction and start living like it was 1995 again. You have to relearn how to use ethernet cables to connect to the internet and how to stare out the window at the beautiful countryside on a long train journey and how to talk to people at a bus stop. You have to stop buying 'smart' products that communicate wirelessly (smart watches, speakers, cars, fitbits, airpods etc). Making the wireless industry collapse is the only way to save the environment.

This is a good summary of the current situation.

The first 6 words of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change are: “Climate Change is a global emergency...”

Tyranny, thy name is Emergency. They want to use the climate “emergency” to effect a permanent lockdown of our freedom.

If allowed to go on unchecked the global destruction of the fossil fuel industry will fast become a global catastrophe, creating mass

starvation and untold deaths from lack of heating. We must stop this insanity. There is no climate crisis and no emergency other than

the ones they are creating: Food, Fuel, Fighting and Finance(the 4 Fs) - all man made disasters being created by the globalists.

Commencing about ten years ago, the City of Sydney (Australia) began to install an incredibly costly “Light Rail” network. The theoretical idea was to reduce the number of ‘carbon’-fuelled buses on Sydney’s congested roads. But in reality, it was mainly a virtue-signalling operation to showcase the nobility of the Green political class that runs the Idiocracy that controls the City of Sydney. The elites wanted to display their virtue by advancing ‘the fight against Climate Change’. But to achieve this objective they too had to cut down the beautiful trees that lined some of the boulevards - so they did! Below you will find an excerpt from a 2016 newspaper story on the matter.

But there is even deeper irony to this bizarro tale about the hypocrisy of Sydney’s ‘Green’ political class. By 1960, the City of Sydney had built the largest integrated ‘light rail’ network in the Southern Hemisphere. It was massive. But then the Idiocracy of the day decided to completely shut it down and replace it with a bus network! The now useless rolling stock were mainly disposed of by incineration! You can see an example of one of the burnt offerings here:

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h4rfI7L5iM0/UInZ9rha6mI/AAAAAAAADU0/UusRcH3XaAU/s1600/tram+burning.jpg

Headline from the Sydney Morning Herald in January 2016:

https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/sydney-light-rail--60-trees-cut-down-20160111-gm38x5.html

“Residents of Sydney's east woke up to a freshly bare Alison Road on Monday morning, after scores of trees were cut down over the weekend in preparation for the construction of a light rail line. According to Randwick City Council, many of the iconic fig trees cut from Centennial Park were more than a hundred years old.”

We live in an age where governments are truly run by unicorn-farming Green fabulists!

Anyone looked at a map of Cambridge-Cambourne? Because I just did and there is no physical need for a new road, none at all.

Even if you start in the city centre east of the Tam, there's no problem driving a bus to Cambourne. Nice big and straight apshalt-covered roads. And it's barely over 8 miles.

The current stretch passes by the orchard even!

This is about something else. Someone wants that land to build on.

Nothing new to see here - “green” climate hoax was never about caring for the environment- just ask all the farming families destroyed here in commifornia in the name of climate. It was and always will be about control over our lives as they clearly think we are too dumb to care for ourselves and our homes (yet oddly not too dumb to earn tax dollars for them). The absurdity would be comical if it wasn’t using our money to control and destroy us.

Same thing here in Toronto Canada. Taking down treasured mature urban forest now, for mass transit line expansion that won't be built for years. And also removing hundreds of trees to clear space for a giant private spa down on Lake Ontario, on land that used to be for the public use of all Ontarians, called Ontario Place. Now it's inexplicably turned into private property for a future facility, being funded by Ontario taxpayers, but being built by a European corporation, a spa that almost no ordinary Ontario resident will be able to afford to visit. And guess where the profits, if any, will go. They did the same thing with our only toll highway, running through cleared greenbelt and prime agricultural land - paid for by our taxes, then sold off to an international consortium that gets all the profits and sets the tolls - highest in North America if not the world - but maintenance costs are still on us.
