Telling people to put slightly warm tap water right from the faucet up their nose, near their brain. Please, no ! Also, a lot of ocean near the US coast is heavily polluted. So snorting sea-water, also not a good idea.
What people can do is buy a neti-pot, plastic or ceramic, and salt-packets especially formulated for nasal rinses. Boil water, let it cool to luke warm. Put the salt packet in and stir or shake. (Whatever you prefer.) Above a sink put your head to one side and pour some of the salted water in your nostril. It should come out through the other nostril. Repeat by turning your head to the other side and pouring water in that part of your nose. Afterwards blow your nose gently.

This way done, nasal rinses can indeed prevent illness, as - like Christine says - most bacteria and viruses enter through the nasal cavity. If you have time and can bear it, do this morning and evening.
No - Use clean water, wherever you get that from, but the same water you would use in a Neti Pot, but do not use a Neti pot. Use your hand exactly as I have said. Neti Pots carry biological illnesses which will get in your brain and kill it. The latest published update on Neti Pots, specifically says Do No Use Them. I use a mug with warm clean water in it, with the salt content mixed in, as I have said, cup a hand, etc.

I should have added that you need to clean that neti-pot after every use. With boiled water and detergent. They should also be regularly sterilized in a microwave. These instructions are given when you buy the pot and/or the salt packets.
Most people think tap water is safe but that is not necessarily true. Also, people should use specially a formulated salt mixture. You should not advise people to use sea water !
The danger in using neti pots lies primarily in the use of tap water in order to rinse the sinuses. Tap water generally has small amounts of bacteria, protozoa, and other microorganisms, including amebae.
We don't have Net Pots here. Unlike wherever you live, the water that comes out of our taps is CLEAN as are our seas, when we go swimming in them, we can see the bottom and the fishes swimming down there. If you want to put out a house fire with a garden hose, especially a wooden house fire, then go for it - my method is like using a fire hose to put out a fire and there is nothing to clean up afterwards, except washing your hands - like Duh!!
I have no idea where you live, but anything ceramic with a spout can be a neti-pot. There is nothing special about them.
It is good you brought nasal rinses to attention. More people should be doing them. This method is also helpful when people suffer from allergies.
However, tap water can still have small amounts of micro-organisms. Wonderful that your seas are clean, I would love to swim where you live ! But small organisms will live in that water, no matter how clear it looks. And you do not want to transport them upwards your nose.
When people go to the sea to swim in it and dive into it, they rarely have anything over their noses or mouths to protect them from the safe, cleaning, healing, purposes of the sea and nobody ever gets anything from the sea that can cause them harm.

If you get any virus you must do this and stay healthy and never ill, as I have done these past 31 years. Cure:

What people can do is buy a neti-pot, plastic or ceramic, and salt-packets especially formulated for nasal rinses. Boil water, let it cool to luke warm. Put the salt packet in and stir or shake. (Whatever you prefer.) Above a sink put your head to one side and pour some of the salted water in your nostril. It should come out through the other nostril. Repeat by turning your head to the other side and pouring water in that part of your nose. Afterwards blow your nose gently.

This way done, nasal rinses can indeed prevent illness, as - like Christine says - most bacteria and viruses enter through the nasal cavity. If you have time and can bear it, do this morning and evening.
No - Use clean water, wherever you get that from, but the same water you would use in a Neti Pot, but do not use a Neti pot. Use your hand exactly as I have said. Neti Pots carry biological illnesses which will get in your brain and kill it. The latest published update on Neti Pots, specifically says Do No Use Them. I use a mug with warm clean water in it, with the salt content mixed in, as I have said, cup a hand, etc.

I should have added that you need to clean that neti-pot after every use. With boiled water and detergent. They should also be regularly sterilized in a microwave. These instructions are given when you buy the pot and/or the salt packets.

Why can using neti pots be dangerous?
The danger in using neti pots lies primarily in the use of tap water in order to rinse the sinuses. Tap water generally has small amounts of bacteria, protozoa, and other microorganisms, including amebae.
We don't have Net Pots here. Unlike wherever you live, the water that comes out of our taps is CLEAN as are our seas, when we go swimming in them, we can see the bottom and the fishes swimming down there. I have no idea where you live, but anything ceramic with a spout can be a neti-pot. There is nothing special about them.
It is good you brought nasal rinses to attention. More people should be doing them. This method is also helpful when people suffer from allergies.
However, tap water can still have small amounts of micro-organisms. Wonderful that your seas are clean, I would love to swim where you live ! But small organisms will live in that water, no matter how clear it looks. And you do not want to transport them upwards your nose.
When people go to the sea to swim in it and dive into it, they rarely have anything over their noses or mouths to protect them from the safe, cleaning, healing, purposes of the sea and nobody ever gets anything from the sea that can cause them harm.

If the US car market is buoyant but only in favour of imported vehicles then isn't it about time that the US manufacturers started providing what US buyers actually want?
The problem isn't price, it's quality and/or value!
If Ford, Chrysler and GM aren't providing what the customers want, then that's not a government problem, it's a manufacturer's problem.
It's not as though all of the companies can't do it because they compete well in Europe, but with different cars, GM excluded.
Trump slapping tariffs on foreign vehicles is so typical of his lack of business acumen it screams "I haven't a clue what I'm doing"!
