As an old codger, I got my 2 shots in early spring of 2021 when it looked like that was the best way to escape the draconian lockdowns in Illinois. (In retrospect, I was obviously quite wrong and wouldn't make the same mistake again.) I won't be getting any more shots - in fact, I doubt I'll ever get another flu shot.

A fundamental driver here is where one was educated and when. This is more important than education level. In the US, if you were educated in a public institution after 1990 you were taught what to think, not how to think, and the later your educational timeline the stronger this phenomenon became, such that those attending University in the 21st Century were more or less simply brainwashed. They were egregiously indoctrinated with ideological propaganda and historical revisionism. They were miseducated en masse. Part of the miseducation included strong enculturation, teaching young people that the group was much more important than the individual, and that government is more central and important to a proper life than civil society. Conformity to the group became the air that every student breathed, reinforced in the classroom and on the campus by the ideology of political correctness and a burgeoning shaming culture. The effect of all of this miseducation cannot be underestimated, very much including the oppression of all religious thought and instinct as being shameful to the point of embarrassment if not disgrace.
What then were we left with? Radicals and automatons, bereft of the ability to think independently and most of all to question experts and government and institutional authorities. It was the perfect setup for what has occurred. Perhaps more amazing, however, is the speed with which the other side has gone to work in just a little over 2 years, diligently and with surreptitious focus, to mount the counter-attack. It took 60+ years for the perpetrators on the wrong side to reach what they believed was their destination. They have been shocked by what they found near their finish line.
An old proverb says that a lie can circle the earth 3 times before the truth can get its’ pants on.
But like Eric Liddell in the summer of 1924, sometimes, just sometimes, the underdog can break the Olympic and World records when everything is on the line.

I have a diverse array of friends across differences. I have vaccinated and unvaccinated friends. My common denominator is people who respect and accept me for who I am and have pure hearts.

Is there a possibility that the virus isn't lab created or zootropic, but in fact the entirety of COVID itself is a psychological experiment?
Like maybe they fabricated the lab leak theory to catch the suspicious people? The whole "controlled opposition" thing.
I'm referring to books like The Invisible Rainbow book and also Virus Mania. Basically the concept that viruses don't cause disease, environmental factors do. There's some old books, like Pasteur vs Bechamp, and if they are true, then massive amounts of propaganda have been going on for a realllly long time. It didn't just start now.
But who wants to wade through all that information to untangle a century's worth of lies? It's a lot of work and if you ask the questions, read the book, do the research and try to figure out if it all adds up and has merit, then what does it get you? Labeled crazy is what. Whether you're a scientist or just an avid reader, most people are already convinced and won't go against the status quo even if it's killing them.

I am one of the few here who has been vaxxed X2, and one booster. That's because 1) I am 63 and 2) have asthma (not bad asthma, I usually forget about it but I do not do well with recovering from colds). Also, I trusted them at first.
I was really struck by your line, "You can read about propaganda and how to control people until you are blue in the face but seeing the whole world change overnight due to mass psychosis is something else." Yep, it's something else alright. I have discovered that like everyone, I can be influenced by propaganda BUT I am also very amenable to changing my mind and seeing past it once the contradictions become evident. There is definitely some kind of psychological difference between those like me, and those who will continue to cling to the narrative that "everything's fine, this ship is unsinkable" even as their deck chair is floating away.

INTP here, logician. Spotting logical inconsistencies is my super power. I may not know what's right and works, but I damn sure know what's wrong and doesn't. My BS meter has been pegged from day one of covid mania.
IMHO when you get the personality results back, the %'s here should be compared to the %'s in the general population. I predict at least double INTJ here compared to general.
We need a category for "I have been shed on"

Intrigued to see the results

Wow. All you need to start a dating platform.
What about us who doubt the existence of the so called virus?
Why not crave real evidence?

Sorry, I won't even stretch to doing a Myers Briggs.
My missus says I have PDA, pathological demand avoidance. I say that's rubbish, I won't even do it when asked nicely ;)
I see I am no longer part of a "fringe minority" but a fringe majority??? ha!
[edit]
Scrub that. It appears I can only see results in the group I voted for. 2nd to last.
Keeping it fringy baby.

Well, this is hilarious because I'm a Mediator and you've left me out!
Re the origins of COVID: I thought it likely a lab *accident* rather than a deliberately *engineered* event, but that option hadn't been available.
So what is this, huh? You tryin' to marginalize one of your readers? Huh?? Huh???
Infj are fairly rare yet quite a few here
16personalities.com was eye opening to me, I love that site.

Deluding myself has been my strong suit for years. How about "all of the above"?
