Are any of our institutions fit for purpose - least of all those concerning 'health'?

Undoubtedly, these insitutions and those who serve them, will get what they deserve.

Meanwhile, their victims will continue to be demoralised, robbed and harmed.

Bureaucracies in general, and government bureaucracies in particular, are inefficient and mostly ineffective. They should not be used to do anything that can be accomplished by other means and the government should be restricted to doing only those things that only government can do (criminal law, national defense, etc.) as their funding relies on utilizing the life force of their funders (us). An indicator that government has gotten too big and powerful is how much time we now spend keeping tabs on them. Who is in charge (president, prime minister, governor, etc.) should not matter all that much as their power should be constricted, but given how much power and influence they now wield we need to be ever on our guard.

One isn't supposed to read Michel Foucault, but reading his "The Birth of the Clinic" was my guilty pleasure during nursing school. I recall his observation that the main arms of the contemporary state are Schools, Prisons and Hospitals, in each of which, observation and accountability are paramount. At the center of the "panopticon" is a watch station which does not permit viewing of its goings on, but claims an unobstructed view of everything it governs.

Foucault provides one example of a prison in the US modeled along those lines, and I have indeed worked in a couple of large nursing homes set up the same way -- well almost; in the nursing station, there was no convenient place to hide -- dang!

Totally agree. Thank you!

How can a bureaucracy be at all concerned about anyone's health?

Expand full comment

Bureaucracies are only concerned with their own growth/maintenance. I stumbled across an instructive book a few years ago, "The Peter Principle", in it the author argues that in bureaucracies people rise to their level of incompetence. An example is a good classroom teacher who has enough time in to be promoted to department head and may do okay there so is eventually promoted to, say vice principal, for which they have no experience or aptitude. This person does not commit a fireable offense but also cannot do the job effectively so will likely occupy this position until retirement. Some quit, but if the pay is good and the expectations low then many/most will not. Explains a lot about the bloated administrations of school districts.

I recall the book when it first came out. It wasn't fad psychology, it seems to be a durable bureaucratic principle.

You need to do your own research. Traditional System Medicine is excellent at treating symptoms and emergencies, but there are different streams of Medicine such as Naturopathy and Homeopathy which are suppressed, and which are also valid. A good place to start for Alternative Medicine is "The Rife Handbook of Frequency" by Nenah Sylver

www.nenahsylver.com The book is available on Amazon or through her website.

And this is precisely why trust in the U.K. health authorities appears to have evaporated amongst those who have been long awake and increasingly amongst the rest.

The U.K. medical and regulatory services needs a wholesale clear out if any trust is to be re-established.

Mind you virtually every U.K. regulator is held in the same state of distrust by the public ie none.

Most UK regulators are funded by those they regulate. The GMC, GDC, FSA, OFCOM to name but a few. It’s not surprising therefore that pharma funds the MHRA but they have no choice in the matter if they wish to gain approval for drugs and devices. More of a concern to me is the funding of the MHRA by both WHO and the Gates foundation. Why are these people allowed to fund our regulatory body? We know that the Gates foundation is hardly benign yet no one comments on this. Why?

"The letter concludes with concerns that the MHRA is “seeking to bring medicines to market quicker with less pre-approval data and more post-approval research being conducted”. "

Known in WHO parlance as "harmonizing standards" & driven by US FDA rubber stamp method.

your emails always come straight into the inbox and never end up in the spam.

Glad to see you report that some people are waking up from their hibernation. Way too late, but better late than never

Quoting from the 5th last paragraph-

“By this time, 24 UK citizens had been injected”.

Is this correct? Do you actually mean ‘24 million’ ???

Could be referring to adverse events but certainly not clear, is it?

FYI I have no trouble receiving your emails. (I just double-checked spam and trash to ensure nothing important was hiding out there.)

Well, golly! At this rate you guys can look forward to much more oversight next century. Can't wait. Couldn't wait. Too late for many. I won't speak of gibbets 'cause that makes you mad. [American English usage] But I'm sure you know how I feel.

My concern would be the usual parade of minor changes marketed as major overhauls that in reality do nothing and the voters buy it hook line and sinker.

Only 25? Well it is a start. Together with MP Andrew Bridgen, it will be hard for the MHRA to ignore this letter of concern.

Brace yourselves for the next tide of BS.

According to Canada's Globe & Mail newspaper, a new covid wave has started!

"Infections have been climbing steadily for months, driven in large part by the fact so few people got the updated COVID vaccines last fall."

The blame never ends... and taking responsibility never begins.

Re: emails: I have attempted to turn off all sunstack emails, although it was a confusing process that resukted inlosing some feeds here, at first. Currently, I get no emails, thank the Heavens, and all my sunscriptions appear in the app. I religiously read using the app, which provides adequate and non-duplicative notice.

Thanks for your wonderful daily rundown of critical information!

Your posts arrive in my inbox and don't go to spam so no problem there. I dodged the Astra Zeneca bullet - having had two of these toxic jabs early in 2021 I'm thankful to be still alive and well. I had no reaction to them but won't be having any boosters or any further jabs at all, having had many in my life for travel reasons mainly. I think I've had enough and don't want to tempt fate.

I think you already tempted fate. You are already annointed so just pray that a turbo cancer doesn't come by your way. Get back to us in 20 years with the good news.
