And WHO has determined (in similar manner pertaining to BLM protests) that mass gatherings @ “pride parades” & other debauchery will in no way be a mon*ey pox super spreader events. Talk about hypocracy….

Not being on social media doesn’t enable me to virtue signal very much so as a white hetero man, during Pride month I just remind myself daily what a stinking piece of shit of a person I am and how I and my kind are ruining it for everyone else. It is similar to virtue signalling because nothing changes. But I like to think I’m doing my part.

No-- I'm looking around to see what other mayhem I can create.

Even with the last two years behind us (oh I wish they were "behind us"), I know there's plenty more mayhem to be made.

As a straight white male, I realise now that it is incumbent upon me to cause as much (minor) mischief as possible.

So if people do actually mention the rise in heart attacks and strokes, or comment upon the rise in hepatitis and moneypox, it behoves me to just say "it's almost as though people have been injected with something".

That's usually enough.

It's all about the bottom line. They care about these causes only insofar as they believe they will make them more money.

It’s all fake.

I work for a company that “produces” frivolous digital output. They are all about “cutting emissions”. I’m timing my retirement around making the suggestion that they could cut their “emissions” to zero by shutting down the company, and if the planet were in so much danger, that would be the only responsible course of action, otherwise their brand is forever a symbol of profit before planet.

Expand full comment

But profit IS good. The problem is two-fold: 1) The mis-apprehension by agents of supply/production of what is in demand, which leads to unnecessary costs which reduce profits, and 2) the demanders of idiotic things like zero profits, and equity, etc.

Expand full comment

Right, of course profit is what powers the modern economy. But companies should then admit that “the planet” is a secondary concern for them at most, with profit being first. And then they should stop being hypocrites with their demands for others to sacrifice their profits (or way of life) on the altar of Gaia.

Yes, this virtue signalling stuff is about trying to shift the Judeo-Christian-Islamic principle based world we have come from - to a Gaia, Satanic, lies are truth too, world - in which there is no criteria for clearly defining what is WRONG and what is RIGHT. There is a WRONG and there is a RIGHT. It is called The Ten Commandments. The problem with the Judiciary is that it also caught up in virtue signalling, as judges are unfortunately Creatures of the System. However, not every Judge is a stooge, and not every citizen is a moron. So yes, it is about "profit", but I think it is also about the "the narrative", of which virtue signalling is a part of. But the public is no longer following "the narrative" - hence virtue signalling is now a joke.

Absolutely agree. Stop the virtue signaling for profit.

I just think "profit" is another word for "wealth creation." Isn't that what we want, overall?

I have always found it interesting how elements of BWM, Mercedes and Volkswagen were cogs in the Nazi Machine, and they get a pass. As a matter of fact, at least 2 of those brands are quite popular with members of the Jewish community.

And yet America, as a whole, and despite the fact that we fought a war to end it and many of it citizens’ ancestors weren’t even here, is still blamed for slavery.

Expand full comment

If you want to be even more annoyed, lookinto the arab/pan-African slave trade still ongoing to this day. Don't hear any BLM-nazi going on a rant about africans selling other africans to arabs, do you?

Not to mention the fact that africans were raiding coastal Europe into the nineteenth century, plundering, murdering, raping and taking slaves.

Or the turkish and moslem custom of murdering or castrating and enslaving the adult men in a conquered area, taking the youngest boys and making child-soldiers out of them.

Or... Really, one could go non-stop listing both the historical and the present day crimes against humanity perpetrated in MENA, Asia and Africa.

For a fun time when someone on the LGBTQP-spectrum brings up ancient Greece, tell them about the institutionalised pederasty of Sparta...

I will read that. Thank you.

The scientists, inventors and other capable people, I can fully understand that the US would value them.

But to rescue nazi / ss killers, who brutally murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent people, defies all morality or logic to me, unless the CIA even then, had plans to use their ideology to attack Russia and undermine unfriendly countries.

We are using things gleaned from the Nazis. The CIA mindcontrol program MK Ultra was/is directly related to Nazi pharmaceutical experiments. Werner Von Braun, and some of his staff members, was a war criminal who became a star at NASA and is why we got to the moon before the Russians. He has a huge portrait in the entryway to NASA.

The virtue signalling is connected with toxic narcissism. Toxic Narcissism has been selected for in our times through social media, glam & dishonest plastic media including advertising and many of the arts. All these "good burghers" crowing about their rescue dogs, their LGBTQ hipness, & climate change hypocrisy, their masks and vaccinations - even militant or extreme veganism in some. In their anxious need to please, to impress is with their goodness - we glimpse the fear, the insecurity that they don't really measure up. Research Toxic narcissism - amazing how it connects up with all this.

So disappointing are those around me who are mostly similar-minded, who fail to recognized this behavior in others who are close to us. They're like heroin addicts who need a routine fix of approval instead, and they put you in a bad spot trying to describe what you think their intentions are, because they are assertively friendly and generous and open minded. But, man, someone who will sell themselves out, sell their children out, to keep their membership in the cool kids club is as creepy as they come.

I'll never forget the day I was chastised for working too fast. Was my first job for the city council where I lived back then, a cleaning job well before I became a teacher. We had been allotted two weeks to get the job done. Silly me thought that meant that if we was done sooner we'd get either a pay raise, or the remaining days off.

That was an eye-opener to silly little me, that we' just get more work and maybe they'd use it as an excuse to sack one or two guys instead.

I then made the same mistake again for a private employer, being told in no uncertain terms that finishing early looks bad to the customer because it makes them think they overpaid my boss.

Darned if you do and darned if you don't I guess.

the "boring" Ukraine news now also gets into the groove of woke rainbow-labeled culture.

from another substack, consistently lots of interesting articles shared by this author: https://lionessofjudah.substack.com/p/end-times-headline-news-0f6/

Just one day after Ukraine’s neo-Nazi Azov Battalion announced they will drop the wolfsangel insignia from their patches, Western mainstream media began hyping a “unicorn LGBTQ” patch that is now being worn by Ukraine’s “LGBTQ soldiers” as they “head for war.”

According to mainstream media reports, Ukraine’s neo-Nazis dropped the wolfsangel from their patches because it was being “exploited by Russian propaganda.” (Yes, that’s right. Because it was being exploited by Russia, not because it was a symbol of their twisted Nazi ideology.)

All levels of government(Federal, State, Local) in the US account for roughly 40% of GDP. That is over double what it was 45 years ago. At the end of the day this is the only statistic that really matters. What it means, among other things, is that “government” has become, figuratively but with very literal implications, the elephant in every Board Room as well as living room. Europeans became accustomed to this much earlier than Americans, and in Europe it was never, until recently, about tearing things down. Now it is. The new public-private cabal that we see as the emerging Dictatorship of our planet was a planned phenomenon, and now that it has arrived we can all see both the results and the implications, if we are paying attention. Pride colors on company logos are virtue signalling, but the question is virtue signalling to whom? The answer is to government, the largest customer for many of them, and the largest influencer of rewards and promotions for all of those in charge in the private sector.

The virtual signallers are the version of “good Germans”, the LGBTQ advertising today’s version of Nazi philosophy, school boards the stripping away of parent & family rights, while national, regional, city governments & institutions and our corporations are linked in a death grip worldwide Corporatocracy. We the people everywhere are the enemy. 9/11 was the Reichstag moment.

Excellent analogy, with two caveats:

1) You speak of "captured" corporations, not the corporate structure per se (the economic system that allows free, private individuals to pool risk, leading to much greater risk-taking and the resulting huge increase in the rate of wealth creation, i.e. standard-of-living). Of course, 100% (i.e. "honest") Fascism, *all* corporate structures are captured. If you read the tea leaves, capital (especially the huge middle class with its 401k's and pensions, although public pensions are much too woke still, but even that is changing) is re-asserting itself.

https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2022/05/17/its_conservative_david_vs_the_woke_corporate_green_giant_832255.html (just one of many clues I could provide)

2) 9/11 was used (if not caused) by the neo-con power grab, which has by and large been defeated, considering the state of today's Republican polity. Yes, the rump metastasized cancer struggles on, and must be annihilated completely. A more apt "reichstag moment," of course, is the neo-libs (attached at the hip to the neo-cons) "Russia, Russia, Russia!"
