The ONS Changes How Excess Deaths Are Calculated

And they magically disappear

Today, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in the UK announced that they’ve been calculating excess deaths all wrong and in one fell swoop almost 20,000 excess deaths were removed from 2023’s total.

They say that trends in population size, ageing and mortality rates are now accounted for by the new method when previously this was not the case. Before, they used a simple five-year average which is the common method around the world.

This new method means the number of excess deaths in 2023 has dropped from 31,442 to 10,994. Some have suggested that this is a convenient way to hide excess deaths.

It has also removed around 6,000 excess deaths from the 2020 and 2021 totals, whilst adding 4,000 deaths to 2022. The net difference over those four years is the removal of over 27,000 excess deaths.

It is also interesting to note how this changes the excess death totals from the years before the pandemic.

2019 saw excess deaths drop from 6,006 to -34,408, a drop of over 40,000. Did this huge negative figure have an impact on deaths in 2020? If, statistically, 34,408 people were meant to die in 2019, but didn’t, then they would likely die the following year. All it would take is a virus mixed with fear and inadequate medical care to kill these people.

Removing those people from the 2020 excess deaths total of 76,412 results in approximately 42,000 excess deaths. A large number but nothing hugely out of the ordinary.

Whatever the ONS have done and for whatever reasons, one thing remains - excess deaths remained excessively high in 2021 to 2023. Covidians will blame these deaths on SARS-CoV-2 but if that is the case, why did so many people die with a vaccine that was 95% effective. We keep getting papers showing how many lives were saved with the miracle vaccines but how can this be true with such high excess death numbers AFTER everyone was vaccinated.

The unvaccinated will probably get the blame. Either it will be them who died or they cruelly gave Covid to the vaccinated who had bravely protected themselves from Covid for the common good.
