The Lancet Commission released their long-awaited findings yesterday. The document “on lessons for the future from the COVID-19 pandemic” provided “a comprehensive investigation, analysis and response to COVID-19”. Whilst the majority of it praised zero-covid strategies, wanted more masks and vaccines, talked a lot about climate change and recommended more funding and powers (I’ll write about that separately), some interesting segments on the origins of the virus were included. Clearly the views of Jeffrey Sachs were left in, probably much to the disappointment of many others at the Lancet.
