In March 2009, Prince Charles (now King Charles) issued a warning to the world - we only have “100 months to act” before the damage caused by global warming becomes irreversible.
At the time, the world was in a recession but Charles insisted that protecting the environment should remain a priority.
100 months took us to July 2017 and surprise, surprise, his warnings were wrong.
Undeterred, Charlie boy has returned with another prediction. This time we have an even more precise ending of the world - six years and 24 days. After that date, “experts say the world will have used up the carbon budget for keeping to the Paris Agreement and the Earth will inevitably heat beyond 1.5C”.
The King of Climate Change has even activated a climate clock to count down the time we have left. Together with the Major of London, Sadiq Khan, he activated the clock with a big red woke button made from plastic washed up in Wales. Afterwards, it will be recycled into a plant pot to be given to the King. It will probably be flown to Buckingham Palace in a private jet but it is the thought that counts, right?
An image of Sadiq Khan laughing with King Charles, saying “I can’t believe they’re falling for it again!”
But if you though one clock of doom was too much, 150 of them have been made. They have been placed in towns and cities around the UK, adding to the climate anxiety suffered by children due to the constant fear mongering.
“A dominating image of the countdown will also broadcast in London’s Piccadilly Circus for five days”. How long before the countdown is placed in the corner of every TV programme we watch? Or forcibly placed on you phone with the latest iPhone update?
Nick Henry, chief executive and founder of Climate Action, said: “It is vital that we embrace the pro-growth opportunity of the net-zero transition and turn ambition into transformational action.” Who is he fooling? Net-zero is the complete opposite of pro-growth. Well for most people anyway.
For some reason, Pascal Soriot, chief executive of AstraZeneca was also there saying, “this is not a crisis that will happen in 20 or 30 years, this is a crisis that is here today”. But maybe he meant the crisis was the people that died from blood clots after taking his vaccine?
Long live the King of Climate Change.
It is one big 🤡show here in the UK!
King Charles is becoming a source of utter ridicule.
His climate change predications are as hopeless as those of Al Gore…..
Let’s not forget it was not long ago he was warning of the dangers of nanotechnology turning all to goo
Now he supports it…
