This looks a good book from Brownstone Institute. One of the best things to come out of Covid was the explosion in independent information and analysis websites. The best covid analysis book I have read is States of Emergency by Kees Van Der Pijl a Dutch university professor, part of it is a class analysis ( ie the ruling class and their minions manipulating the masses) very well written and researched. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60210580-states-of-emergency. An example was the Gillet Jaune mass protests and uprisings across France. Met with extreme police brutality. I hear that the French will not tolerate surveillance cameras , and they are taken down by direct action!
It was evolving in that direction previously, the virus just gave them an additional excuse.
