A new paper in the Journal of Health Economics looked at “Cognitive ability, health policy, and the dynamics of COVID-19 vaccination”. The authors from Uppsala University in Sweden seem to have little to do with vaccines as they are from the Department of Economics and the Institute for Housing and Urban Research but setting that aside, let’s see what they claim to have found.
The study consisted of all people who enlisted for military service in Sweden between 1979 and 1997, when enlistment was mandatory. It therefore looks at 750,381 people, which is almost the entire Swedish population who were born between 1962 and 1979.
Swedish military tests all individuals and so they had a large amount of data from the Swedish Military Archives which keeps records of the test scores.
The authors claim that their study shows “that individuals with higher cognitive ability are more likely to take the Covid-19 vaccine and do it faster”. The smarter you are, the more likely it is that you will get vaccinated.
They said that in regions such as Uppsala, where letters with pre-booked vaccinated times were sent out, the differences seen in the various cognitive abilities almost disappeared.
One of the authors, Mikael Elinder, concludes that “if everyone were vaccinated as swiftly as individuals with a higher cognitive ability, the pandemic would likely have ended earlier, with fewer lives lost and with lower costs for society”.
To summarise Elinder, smart people get Covid vaccinated and quicker and because of less smart, unvaccinated people, the pandemic dragged on, more people died and the costs were higher for society.
Except for it doesn’t seem that this study included unvaccinated people. It looks like it only studies people that got vaccinated, whether sooner or later. If so, where does it leave the unvaccinated?
In 2021, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh researchers actually found that Americans with PhDs were the most reluctant to get vaccinated against Covid.
Maybe if this new study included the unvaccinated, their results may have looked similar to the graph above.
Weirdly, in the Vaccine Journal this month, another study looked at the same thing - “Are intelligent people more likely to get vaccinated? The association between COVID-19 vaccine adherence and cognitive profiles”.
This time they looked at Israeli military personnel and concluded that “higher intelligence was the strongest predicator for vaccine adherence”. The vaccinated were more likely to have a higher general intelligence score and military social score.
These studies are clearly biased. They only looked at military personnel who are obviously more agreeable to orders. That is their job and they are less likely to be in that job if they don’t do what they are told.
This is clearly more psychological propaganda, preparing the general population for any future vaccination campaigns. Get ready for the MSM, your friends and your family to tell you that The Science has figured out that only intelligent people get vaccinated. ‘Don’t you want to get vaccinated like us smart people’, they’ll chant in unison. Oh wait, they did that already.
But if smart and intelligent means obeying any order without having the ability to critically and independently think about the matter, then I’m happy to stay one of the stupid ones.
I forgot to add this before I hit send.
One of the authors of the Swedish study also publishes on the effects of fluoride in drinking water. Not only does he conclude that fluoride has a positive effect on dental health with zero effect on cognitive abilities but also that it increases labor income! Amazing, drink fluoridated water and earn more!
