Myocarditis Safety Data existed at least 4 Months before it was made public

How many youngsters were jabbed and got myocarditis in the meantime?

After many year of extensive trials a new vaccine is launched for a disease that doesn’t actually effect many young people. Quite quickly after its launch, due to the great adverse reaction surveillance in place, a safety signal is detected. A number of young people are getting heart problems after being vaccinated so the product launch is immediately halted whilst investigations are undertaken.

That’s what we all thought happened, right? I certainly did, until the pandemic hit of course.

Covid meant the rule book could be thrown out of the window and, as my article on Hatt Mancock reported yesterday, this justified any casualties as sacrifices necessary for the greater good.

I remember reading about the myocarditis safety signals well before it was publicly announced. I’m not sure when (although I could probably find something in my messages) or what I read but in the back of my head it was some Scandinavian study.

If the concern looked a genuine one, I would discuss these safety concerns with others. It still amazes me that even after these concerns became public knowledge months later, supposedly intelligent people brushed the delay off as me getting lucky or some other reason. They would rather believe that aliens had given people myocarditis over the vaccines causing harm and the regulators being inept or worse.

In the UK anyone aged 16 and over, with underlying health conditions, became eligible for the first Covid shot on 15 February 2021. I’m only guessing here, but I would suspect that if you have underlying health conditions your heart would be more susceptible to damage. By the end of May, all over 30s were eligible and mid-June all over 18s.

You would have thought that if there were any safety signals, this vaccine roll-out to youngsters would not have happened or at least been postponed.

However, it was not until 25 June 2021 that a myocarditis warning was merely added to the paperwork and even by then the Condition of Authorisation had been updated to allow its use in 12 to 15 years olds.

Now, a FOI request has revealed the Israeli Ministry of Health had spotted the myocarditis safety signal four months earlier, in February 2021.

This email was sent to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) so I would be very surprised if the FDA (US) and MHRA (UK) had not been notified as well.

In early July it was reported that the MHRA had undertaken a “thorough review” of UK and international data but the benefits “greatly outweighed” any potential risk. This was the Summer when Covid cases and deaths were virtually non-existent.

This review was obviously very very thorough as it had taken four months. In the meantime, millions of young people had been injected and a number of those would have been injured or died from myocarditis.

Back in the sane, old days, this safety signal would have halted the vaccine roll-out. At least in youngsters anyway. But not in the days of Covid, where too many vaccines had been ordered.
