Karma hits Wimbledon - Djokovictory
The tennis competition is won by a Russian and an Unvaccinated player.

It seems the anti-woke Gods were looking down on Wimbledon over the weekend. Firstly, last month the organisers started meddling in politics and banned Russian players. And who went on to win the women’s competition on Saturday….Elena Rybakina, a Russian (sorry a Kazakhstani…she’s definitely from Kazakhstan).
They were also considering banning unvaccinated players and who went on to win the men’s competition….the unvaccinated Djokovic. After all the grief he has been given over his vaccination status and his deportation from Australia, it shows how mentally tough he is and how he thoroughly deserves his victory.
What made the final even more satisfying was that Nick Kyrgios, his opponent, was the only player on the circuit to publicly support Djokovic when he was detained in Australia. Whilst many other players were publicly insulting Djokovic, saying he deserved what he got for being selfish, Kyrgios tweeted the following:
'Look I definitely believe in taking action, I got vaccinated because of others and for my mums health, but how we are handling Novak's situation is bad, really bad. Like these memes, headlines, this is one of our great champions but at the end of the day, he is human. Do better.'
It says a lot when this was the most support Djokovic got from his fellow players but Djokovic has confirmed that since then they are developing a Bromance!
The fickle Wimbledon audience (generalising, I know), who hate Kyrgios more than unvaccinated people (at the moment anyway) lapped up Djokovic’s victory. However, I can guarantee a large chunk of them will have publicly disapproved of his vaccination status less than 6 months ago. I say this because not one person I spoke to at the time, thought Djokovic should be able to play or stay in Australia.
There are still many people who feel like this, including ‘high profile’ blue checkers.
And as the unprincipled Benji Butterworth mentions, Djokovic is still banned from playing in the US Open later in the year. Not to mention he won’t be able to return to the Australian Open for 3 years.
I often question whether I’m blowing things out of proportion but then I recollect what has happened over the last few years and realise that I’m not. Not only can I still not travel to many parts of the world (including the US and Canada), but also one of the fittest, most talented sportsmen on the globe is banned from doing his job because he has decided not to take a vaccine that clearly does not protect others.
The Wimbledon reporters, still hounding Djokovic to get vaccinated, told him he still has time to get vaccinated and be allowed to enter the US. “Is that something you have completely closed your mind to?” he was asked. “Yes” was the short and simple answer he gave, with a pained smile that looked like it was saying “Not again, just F-off and leave me alone!”.
Djokovic also defended the Russian tennis players and said he doesn’t agree with the ban. “I don’t see how they have contributed to anything that is really happening. I don’t think it is fair”.
Will the US start to allow unvaccinated travellers to enter the country and therefore allow Djokovic to play in the Open next month? What are your predictions? How much longer can this go on for?
These condescending, self-righteous people who dismiss the injection as “a safe, quick” thing that 4.8 billion people have taken...
Good for the tennis player (I can’t spell his name) for not bothering to explain himself to these people.
The very notion that there would be no tennis tournaments without this nefarious injection reveals the depth of mass formation and deception and at this point, willful ignorance, that such folks are in. There really doesn’t seem to be any way to dissuade them.
God bless all of us who have resisted thus far, and those who have seen the error thrust upon them and are now part of those resisting. May his grace and strength keep us strong.
I'm old enough to remember when sports was a diversion from politics and all the other BS of the world. Sigh...
