Is this the real reason Liz Truss was removed as Prime Minister of the UK?
Russian intelligence or Russian propaganda?
As most people know, Liz Truss had a disastrous and short spell as Prime Minister. After Boris Johnson was forced to resign in the summer, the Conservative members were given the choice of Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss. They chose Liz and, after 44 days in office, the rest is history, she was gone. The official story was that she was forced to resign after her mini-budget spooked the markets. Others, including myself, thought that it was a convenient way to get the establishment’s man, Rishi Sunak, in to power. But was there another reason?
Today, the Mail on Sunday had an Exclusive.
Liz Truss's personal phone that was hacked by Kremlin agents was so compromised it was locked away in a 'secure location' as experts fear top secret negotiations and private messages may have been leaked
The Mail story reports that agents suspected of working for the Kremlin gained access to top-secret exchanges and listened to private conversations with the future Chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng. One source said the phone was so heavily compromised that it has now been placed in a locked safe inside a secure Government location.
Messages obtained during the hack also had “highly sensitive discussions with senior international foreign ministers about the war in Ukraine, including detailed discussion about arms shipments”.
According to the article, this all happened before she became Prime Minister in early September. She was forced to change her phone number, which she had had for over 10 years, which “caused anxiety” among Ministers who were suddenly unable to get in contact with her. Apparently, Boris was aware of the leak and agreed on a total news blackout. Truss’ allies worried that if the news leaked, it would ruin her chances of becoming Prime Minister.
But was she hacked again whilst Prime Minister?
Russian intelligence is claiming that it didn’t need to hack Liz’s phone again, instead they hacked her i-Cloud. And apparently on her i-Cloud were all her messages. One in particular is getting a lot of attention. Rumours are that one minute after the NordStream pipeline was blown up, Liz sent a message to Secretary Antony Blinken, in the States, with the message “It’s done”.
Along with these rumours, Russia is claiming that they have obtained information with shows British Navy involvement in the pipeline sabotage.
George Galloway, in his usual style, says it’s all true. But then again, he does work for Russia Today.
Just after these rumours surfaced, without explaining what they were talking about, the British Ministry of Defence tweeted the following:
So, is this just Russian propaganda? Are the bots out in force tonight to spread misinformation across Twitter? It does seem rather far fetched that the Prime Minister would send a one-liner that is more suited to a bad spy movie.
As with everything, we’ll probably never find out the truth but we can speculate.
Why did Defence Secretary Ben Wallace drop everything and fly to Washington for an emergency meeting, two days before Liz Truss was forced to resign? What was so urgent and sensitive that it couldn’t have been said over an encrypted video meeting? Had he just found out about the new hack and didn’t know what or who was being listened to? Did they know what the Russians had discovered and realised it would cause maximum embarrassment to the current Prime Minster?
Was this the real reason Liz Truss was forced to resign so dramatically after only 44 days in office?
UK & USA in cahoots. This is very bad IMO. If I were Germany I would be very angry. Is this how NATO allies treat each other? This hurts Germany worse than Russia. Biden is pushing the world into WWIII. VERY STUPID. He & his minders are destroying the world.
