I'm of the opinion that this is an orchestrated distraction while the other efforts to continue pushing for a passport continues on while everyone is looking over there. I'm imagining two people slap-fighting each other for a show, albeit at the cost of some "collateral damage" of Ukrainian lives. For people who have helped facilitate the killing of many people with COVID and witholding information that would save their lives with more effective therapeutics, they see this as a minor sacrifice in their march toward the great reset.

Unlikely. Ukraine has been a festering boil on Russia's side for many years. The boil had to be lanced and despite what we are being told, Russia is doing that job quickly and as humanely as possible.

Could you elaborate more on this? I'm not familiar with the historical/cultural background that might need to be "lanced". I'm very tangentially aware that we've put the Ukrainian folks in a no-win situation in a power struggle between two sides (US and Russia). I see this being a convenient posturing by Biden to show SOME success when he's suffered badly at home.

Not really possible to condense the goings on in Ukraine into one post. I'll just mention that the US fomented and funded a coup in the Ukraine back in 2014. Since then the US has controlled Ukraine's governments and has all done all this as a way of destabilising Russia. For its part in these US war games Ukraine has lost Crimea, will also lose Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts and possibly much more besides. Thank you Washington, a job well done.

I subscribe more to el gato malo's View that the elites are so removed from everyday life that they no longer know how any economy (national and global) works. For them water comes through the taps and lights come on at the flip of a switch by magic.

That's why they could do easily cripple the lives and livelihoods of millions with lockdowns and only allowing "essential" workers to keep working.

It will be the same muddled thinking at play with sanctions (though they seem to be slowly waking up to how interconnected things are). So they suggest kicking Russia out of SWIFT (that will hurt of course but eventually encourage alternatives to SWIFT and the unravelling of US Dollar dominance in the long term), restricting Russian energy exports (that will only increase energy prices and through that send inflation into hyperdrive; they now seem to realise this as they talk about sanctions that won't affect energy flows), restricting sales of microchips to Russia (though given that Russia is a major producer of rare earth's that are needed to make those microchips in the first place and that Russia and Ukraine together are integral in producing 90% of the neon gas that is used in the US for producing microchips we will have to see how that idea will work in practice) and banning Russian airlines (with Russia then banning their airlines from flying over Russia; which makes those airlines face increased costs in an industry where margins were already razor thin as flying around Russia makes flight times longer, uses more fuel, puts more pressure on pilots and means that non-sanctioned Western airlines now have a competitive advantage - if you are flying Dublin to Seoul and your choices are Air France at X hours and Y euros but BA at X+3 hours and Y+200 euros which one are you really going to pick?)

Expand full comment

I would say muddled overall thinking and short-term political calculations go hand-in-hand. Specialists have taken over the world in every domain. Governments are run by political specialists who focus on polling and know little else. If they think a Ukraine war will help, because historically people rally behind the President in war times, war it will be.

The war leads to cyber warfare (anon not been seen throughout the entire plandemic, yet suddenly), leads to a few cables being cut shut down of the global financial system, leading to digital ID and a centralised digital currency, leading the social credit system.

Currently, I am ashamed to be a human being. White male megalomaniacs, with generational privilege who have been afforded so much, twist, manipulate and corrupt everything we all hold dear, just so they have more power, more control, until there is nothing left.

And what about the Indian caste system (modern day slavery?). I've been told about more than one case when Indian workers in the US were noticed to take bathroom breaks in some strange places. When asked, they said it's because they are not allowed to use the same bathroom as Indians from another ("higher") caste who worked with them in the same building. White societies overall tend to be the most egalitarian and do not take the "caste" system too well, which is why (I think) the self-proclaimed elites have announced them "evil" and "privileged". They know that the whites are the most likely to resist this new class society, while the rest will take it for granted, so they have started this race war on whites (even though they themselves are as white as can be, but they want to be the "only" truly privileged class, no competition)

Yes, some of the big players today may be old white males, and they have the gall to pretend to care about diversity and intersectionality (see Black Face Trudeau, or “you ain’t black” Biden). But these people have over focussed on race as a way to manipulate (and trans). They are causing far more division than they are healing, and it is by design. It is empty virtue signalling, distraction, demoralisation (google ‘subversion’)and divide and conquer.

This is not about race, evil exists amongst all races, because they are all human. African enslaved other Africans, Chinese harvest the Falon Gong’s organs etc. A bunch of white men have just been particularly successful in the last few centuries. The first tool in their toolbox is, don't just deny what is true, instead claim the opposite. When you are doing something nasty, accuse the victim they are doing it.

In this case, there's a privilege alright. This group has so much privilege and power, I can't even name them properly. Entire countries have laws against calling out this ethnicity. Powerful organizations spring into action if you do it, and try to ensure you can't.

"White privilege" is gaslighting for slow suppression and attrition of white people and everything they value that made civilization great. It is a war on freedom and individuality. It's a rallying call for transhumanist techno-fascism, and the annihilation of the individual that goes along with it. "Racism" and "hate" means to resist this totalitarian creep.

To abolish "white privilege" means to abolish property and individual rights, including decisions about your body. Abolishing "white privilege" means, "accept your WEF king."

I am far from a foreign policy novice, let alone expert. I think there are three things in play: 1) NATO. Putin doesn't want Ukraine in NATO, period. 2) Oil/Gas. Ukraine is rich in natural gas and controlling more energy makes Europe more dependent on Russia for energy (especially since Germany got rid of nuclear.) Russia wants those resources. Wind/solar is a boondoggle and can't run a city let along a country. Russia knows this. 3) The weakness of the west. Because Biden et. al. is weak, Russia knows they can do almost whatever they want without issue. The sanctions were weak and not all-encompassing. The fact that Biden said something to the effect of "Let's see how the sanctions do in a month" tells me he and his people (his people, really, because I don't think he has many functioning brain cells left) are worse than idiots. In a month this will be over. .... I'm also wondering if there's a more historical/personal perspective involved that we'd need a historian to really understand. I plan to read the Glenn Greenwald transcript when it's released (I don't generally watch videos, I can read faster.)

Look at all these natural resources and how much they impact world economies and industries. Given that Russia has oil/gas as major exports, THESE items would control a LOT of industry.

Being the second largest country by area in Europe and has a population of over 40 million, Ukraine ranks:

1st in Europe in proven recoverable reserves of uranium ores

2nd place in Europe and 10th place in the world in terms of titanium ore reserves

2nd place in the world in terms of explored reserves of manganese ores (2.3 billion tons, or 12% of the world's reserves)

2nd largest iron ore reserves in the world (30 billion tons)

2nd place in Europe in terms of mercury ore reserves

3rd place in Europe (13th place in the world) in shale gas reserves (22 trillion cubic meters)

4th in the world by the total value of natural resources

7th place in the world in coal reserves (33.9 billion tons)

Ukraine is an important agricultural country:

1st in Europe in terms of arable land area

3rd place in the world by the area of black soil (25% of world's volume)

1st place in the world in exports of sunflower and sunflower oil

2nd place in the world in barley production and 4th place in barley exports

3rd largest producer and 4th largest exporter of corn in the world

4th largest producer of potatoes in the world

5th largest rye producer in the world

5th place in the world in bee production (75,000 tons)

8th place in the world in wheat exports

9th place in the world in the production of chicken eggs

16th place in the world in cheese exports

Ukraine can meet the food needs of 600 million people.

Ukraine is an important industrialized country:

1st in Europe in ammonia production

Europe's 2nd’s and the world’s 4th largest natural gas pipeline system

3rd largest in Europe and 8th largest in the world in terms of installed capacity of nuclear power plants

3rd place in Europe and 11th in the world in terms of rail network length (21,700 km)

3rd place in the world (after the U.S. and France) in production of locators and locating equipment

3rd largest iron exporter in the world

4th largest exporter of turbines for nuclear power plants in the world

4th world's largest manufacturer of rocket launchers

4th place in the world in clay exports

4th place in the world in titanium exports

8th place in the world in exports of ores and concentrates

9th place in the world in exports of defense industry products

10th largest steel producer in the world (32.4 million tons)

Biden is a mental mess, American liberals are notoriously weak and right now they run the show. With all due respect, does Europe have a force that can defeat Russia or the will? Ukrainians I know tell me that 90% of the people there want Putin to kick Zelenskyy out. They see Zelenskyy as the WEF/Soros influence and they believe that Putin is not. Putin’s actions certainly benefit the Davos climate agenda in that they increase the price of fossil fuels and, therefore, make “green energy” more competitive. On the other hand, his actions can easily be interpreted as purely nationalistic because the price increase makes Russia richer and getting the Ukraine gives Russia more territory and mineral wealth. I think the real question is: on what side of the the WEF fence does Putin sit? I’m not convinced that he is presently a WEF’r. He might have been at one time, but there is certainly evidence that he is now Klaus Schwab’s prodigal son who is showing no inclination of returning home to father.

It seems impossible to me that at some point, someone with visible (and real) power - Putin, Xi etc, not power from the shadows, like the WEF/banksters/CIA etc won't tell the WEF/who ever is behind all this to "truck off". Not directly ofc but basically that person will start to follow their own agenda when we reach the point where the west has shot itself in the foot one time too many. The imbeciles coordinating all this are so full of themselves that they aren't able to account for the fact that even they are betrayable and everything might blow into their face.

Yes, power from the shadows works only when the people in public power are weak. This is why they hated Trump so much because he was gaining too much power that would have threatened globalist plans. While they still could, they threw him out (and exposed their hand). Real power trumps shadow power. Some real power will emerge that overcomes the WEF. Right now China plays the WEF like a fiddle, but who knows in this unstable period what real power will emerge. It can't be Russia. They are too weak economically. It's a joke this making them out to be a terrible threat.

It's hard to know where to start and be brief. As I see it, the same formula on Ukraine is being used by deep state operators that has been deployed in the South Americas and elsewhere since WW2: 1) unseat/kill/maim/replace sitting president (duly elected or otherwise); 2) insert puppet regime bought and sold to do the bidding of the masters - pay them all off, blackmail and disappear the dissenters ("We came, we saw, he died... hahaha;" 3) plunder/pillage/exploit resources to fill the coffers of the criminal elite networks; 4) use the chaos as a foil to distract from domestic FUBARs in domestic politics/financial/economic/public health domains - "When all else fails, they take you to war"; 5) re-write/disregard/falsely represent recent history of the said country and keep destabilizing as it sinks further into the debt and clutches of globalist overlords (IMF, WEF, WHO, UN etc); and 5) pay off the mainstream media to feed constant fear porn and lies to a dazzled public ready to believe whatever they are told. As to C19, same goal, different tool: fear and control

And finally, I still see the collapse of world financial systems as a goal (note, I think there are a few goals and this one may very well be means to another end). * C19 provided the opportunity to destroy small and medium business, and created dependence on the state for an income; * the stimulus to achieve that dependence is one of the big drivers for inflation together with the intentional destruction of the supply chain; * add to that energy insecurity and the effect on fuel prices (because of this war and policy decisions in response) you have another inflationary lever; * hyperinflation, when you get there, could well lead to the fall of major currency(or -ies) and with countries increasingly regulating crypto currencies you are a hop skip and a jump away from a social credit system linked to health, and finance (other things as well, but those I think are two most clearly visible from this scenario and two years of covid).

And at the end of the day, it's great cover for whatever Biden, et al have in mind to sneak into our lives while our heads are turned.

What does it mean for Putin to have been a WEF Young Leader? As a (former) KGB spy, maybe he just wants to know what they are up to, or bamboozle his enemies. Certainly, he is not toeing the globalist line on LGBT or climate change. When has he, unlike Western leaders, ever acted clearly against his country's interests?

For Putin it means he knows his opposition. He has served on the general staff of the oppsing army, so to speak.

But he is KGB. There is and never was something called ex-KGB. Look at the history of russian intelligence, secret police and whatever we may call the various acronyms: throughout longer than the US has existed, Russian has played intelligence games and has had intelligence agencies - the US has under a century of experience, despite a great technological advantage and the privileges which comes from allying givernemental intelligence agencies to corporations and industrial espionage (guess where China learned how to do that?).

And his career was focused of working with information and communication - it that sounds innocuous, think again.

As it infortunately always must be said, I by no means endorse or support neither Putin nor the russian war on Ukraine, but to far too many people who might read here (and report off message opinions) understanding something and supporting something comes to the same thing. Not that I'm accusing you of that, far from, but decades of experience from academia has ingrained this as a reflex into me.

LGBT is not necessary in an already authoritarian country, because the people already accept top-down control. That's how it's not pushed in China or Russia.

LGBT is necessary to develop a social class of tyranny enforcers for the West, which has been spoiled with ideas of liberty and republics, and now must be brought under control. This must be done in a similar manner as Britain managed its colonies.

In Britain's colonies, the demographic rule of thumb was to have the inhabitants 5% Brits; 25% armed minorities that would otherwise be oppressed by the majority and will therefore gladly support the Brits; and 70% oppressed majority.

In the West, they need to develop this layer, this oppressed minority that will gladly support the system. This is now partly the blacks, but this source does not provide a sufficient quantity of competent people to properly oppress a whole country.

So the minority they are developing is transsexuals. It turns out that if you don't indoctrinate, maybe 0.1% of the population will be trans. But if you confuse children as much as possible, starting with kindergarten and elementary school, you can probably get something like 20% trans people. In Canada, it's already illegal for parents to counteract schools transitioning children. You can go to prison for 5 years for telling your daughter she does not need puberty blockers.

Now these are people who cannot actually change their gender, but you can convince them that the ONLY reason they aren't achieving their most personal, existentially important gender goals is the majority's oppression. So you want to raise something like 20% trans people, and convince them that the reason they can't be a real woman is other people's prejudice.

Now you have your class of tyranny-supporting bureaucrats. This is being normalized in the US with folks like "Rachel" Levine, Sam Brinton and that "White House intern," Benny Drama.

I don't have any great insights to add to those below.

Putin is a Kleptocrat, a poker player, but also a Russian patriot, and his regime is a tightly-run and well organised gangster cabal.

The border issues with ethnic Russians in the Ukraine have been a running sore for the last decade or more, and 25,000 have died, with no end in sight.

Maybe he is just fed up, senses Western indecision under a weak and wobbly US President, and wants to get in to grab the gas and grain befoe the EU and NATO get there first?

1. Another fact that supports the Putin-in-bed with the globalists argument is that evidently President Clinton vetted him and permitted Boris Yeltsin to handpick him as his successor. Also, even though many think Putin saved Syria, he waited way too late to intervene, reneged on some promises (like providing Syria with the best weapons), and still allows Israel to control the Syrian airspace and strike at will, and Syria is still not free of foreign interference. Also, he has not punished the oligarchs that raped Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union.

2. There are two sides to the psychological operation involving Russia; it may not be primarily intended to distract people in the West from the Covid operation, but to rally the people in that part of the World to support a greater World conflict. The Russian people have been given a narrative (as well as Chinese, Indian, and other populations), that Russia is the best hope to stop Western hegemony. Even though China competes for the hero's role, Russia is allowed to be the bad cop while China is the good cop trying to negotiate and trade with the West. This Russia-as-savior narrative has been building the last few years as the West's actions and rhetoric has intensified against Russia (reaching ever more ridiculous levels).

My guess is the average Russian is spitting mad and wants to put an end to the abuse they have taken. So while Putin states a rational casus belli for the Ukraine war, which is more intellectually honest than the NATO version, this could all be done to get the people in that part of the World to support a great war against the West. Especially if Russia wins a decisive victory in Ukraine (which is my guess of what the reality is).

3. We are in a fog of war so I don't believe anything I'm seeing (like with Covid). I'm not sure the Russians are bogged down. In fact, Russia may be demonstrating a military capability that will make recent U.S. military misadventures look extremely weak by comparison. See https://thesaker.is/russian-operation-in-the-ukraine-end-of-day-2/

4. My prediction is a number of parties want a greater war. How else to explain the crazy rhetoric and actions the West is taking? They did everything they could to start and continue this war, including the likely propaganda we're seeing now about how heroic Ukraine is resisting. I expect Poland to be the fuse that lights this all up into a greater conflagration (e.g. NATO forces more openly participating in this war via Poland). NATO is likely running this war for the Ukrainians and while Putin may be downplaying this for now, I can see him rationalizing an attack on Poland and the Baltics as a way to stave off a worse situation down the road. The parties are quickly escalating in all arenas.

5. So is Putin acting sincerely? The only way I can see this is if he's been in deep cover and participating in globalist ventures like the WEF (and including Covid!) as a way to bring down the globalists from the inside. Or, he had an epiphany and decided he needed to abandon his globalist pals and put Russia first (like Saddam in Iraq?). Or, Putin is really a master Judo statesman and was cautious in the past because he was picking the perfect time to get aggressive. Or, much of the evidence we have about him being compromised is based on false Western propaganda (e.g. Bill Clinton approving of Putin as Yeltsin's replacement). Who knows.

Someone who is more likely to be acting sincerely is Lukashenko in Belarus.

In any event, even if Putin is part of a globalist plan or not, he's playing his role nicely and we seem to be heading down a dark path that segued very nicely from the Covid operation. We were warned by Karl Swabby, repeatedly, that a cyber attack would be in our future so I'm sure that's going to play a role too. As well as energy disruptions and other aspects of the great reset.

The transition from covid to warfare was seamless, efficient, and either a massive fluke in terms of timing or planned in advance. I don't know what way to think.

I suspect that this will fizzle out, after NATO back off a bit, though I may be thinking that becuase that is what I hope rather than what my gut says. What my gut does say, however, is that I ought to not blindly trust the same news orgs and politicians that have repeatedly lied for over 2yrs, just because it's boogeyman Russia.

Ukraine doesn't always have a nice history with Russia - the Holodomor, for instance, which fucked them over hugely. The Ukraine I think translates to 'the borderlands', which implies tumult in aeons gone by. I don't think what is happening now is particularly new, though then again I am by no means even close to an expert on geopolitics.

Lastly, passive aggression is still aggression. NATO is a passive aggressive entity, largely - including it moving into Ukraine. Always easy to deny aggression when it's passive; impossible to deny when it's overt, and also hard to look noble when it's overt as nobody likes bloodshed asides from rich men in suits.

It is amazing how seamless the transition has been. I've noticed how quickly those in the Covid Cult have transferred their righteous emotional energy from hating on "antivaxxers" to righteously standing up for "democracy" and "freedom." They went from mocking those of us who argued for freedom against a Covid tyranny to screaming slogans of freedom on behalf of the Ukrainians. There is some deep psychological effects going on here--a mindfucking.

Two possibilities have come to mind for me as preliminary thoughts. I wrote this in a previous article:

The serious discussion here is about competition versus co-operation in the clearly global Biosecurity State agenda, and what balance of those factors currently exists between the West, Russia and China. The classic imperialist European powers competed over colonies while all agreeing about the importance of the maintenance of the colonial domination over Africa, Latin America and Asia, and indeed sometimes agreed on the division of colonies between themselves for mutual benefits. We are observing the same dynamic today, in which Russia, China and the West have colluded with the Covid narrative in order to increase domestic control over their populations while the West continues its imperialist adventures abroad (often opposed by Russia/China for their own reasons).

Following on from this is it depends what aspect of this is dominant, co operation or competition. If it's co operation, than the Ukraine action by Russia is a distraction from the failing Covid narrative & the obvious harm coming to light about the jabs. If its competition, than Putin has finally been pushed too far by the west (2014 Coup, Azov, war gaming, etc, as well as other lies like Russiagate, Skripals etc) and said fuck it.

Well, as the old adage applied to marriage says: What is argued about isn’t the issue.

The first observation is that there was never a substantive reason for Ukraine to become a global issue absent an ulterior motive. Oil was $41 a barrel in November 2020. It’s now nearing $100. Putin couldn’t be happier about that. But $150 would be even better. The price of crude is the single most important factor driving Putin’s domestic and global ambitions. None of it happens without money. And wars have been good for the price of oil for over 100 years.

The above is simply illustrative of the fact that the theories could go on and on, witness the bio-lab explanation or the Covid distraction/New Reset Vector(my personal favorite)

But pausing to look at history is always a worthwhile exercise. In Barbara Tuchman’s monumental book The March of Folly, she lays out the thesis that, from Troy to Vietnam, Incompetence may be a better explanation than Evil or Conspiracy for the planet’s human engineered debacles. I like to mix the 3 together, but never underestimate the pure power of one dumbass move begetting another, until the entire situation is out of anyone’s control. One could argue that this is what happened with Covid, and in the end, the cover-up became the thing. We shall see.

I saw a cartoon on Good Patriot’s newsletter that made me laugh out loud today. 2 men were speaking: “Hear about the War? Yes, that war.” “I don’t know what’s real anymore.” Well, that’s me. I didn’t believe any of it, initially, thinking it was a distraction. Then I saw livestreams and I am leaning toward option 4: WEF orchestrated. Part of the larger op. I understand how Putin has cause to respond for the violation of the agreements re his borders. Russia has also been implementing the Covid Psyop. He is a WEF graduate. So now, suddenly Ukraine’s an emergency? And he’s using the Left’s rationale for all their totalitarianism: Nazis! So, I will remain skeptical of all we see and hear.

I vacillate, but 1 option you didn't list is that Putin is a primarily a nationalist striving to protect Russia & its oligarchs & its closest neighbors/relations from getting swallowed up by the Globalist nazi wolves.

Yes, WEF successfully recruited him to their ygl program & new program. Does that mean he vought into1 world gov under Klaus or anyone else? Maybe. Maybe not.

Yes, he meets & socializes with Kissinger. Ever hear the saying "keep your friends close & enemies closer?"

He's been biding his time since the soviet breakup to rebuild strength while US got bored with policing his neck of the woods.

It took dementia joe & his 2-bit hoe less than a year to run the US to the edge of a cliff. Now is the time for Putin to run the table, before Russian mud season begins and/or God sends a bolt of lightening & sets the US upright again.

Good call out of the globalist community.

Many people still do not know or understand what it means that the Bolshevik Revolution was financed by Wall Street (just as Harriman Bank financed the Nazi Party), or that Mao was funded through the U.S. State Department (with a thin excuse of trickery, "He tricked us!").

How much is coordinated, and why? These details are difficult, but one thing that is for certain is that whatever story the corporate media feeds its viewers is whatever the behavioral economists think will get them to behave in the manners that they want.

But it is still best to ask more questions, and hold competing hypotheses in mind.

"Ukraine becoming part of NATO is something Russia won’t back away from and only diplomatic negotiations and a step back by NATO will stop them."

While not the most exciting one, it is the one that is demonstrably true. It also has the advantage of not invalidating any of the others.

To understand russian politics, you must do so from a the perspective of Russia as it is and what it was - its history. Otherwise the analysis will only be projection of what you think it should be.

A very simple example: how would the US (or any non-US country) fare under the same embargoes? How would your nation react to the same treatment and situations as Russia has lived through since 1995?

This is no endorsment of Russia's invasions of its neighbours: it's just that understanding something and endorsing it are two separate things. I mention that because I'm too use to the climate of debate here in Sweden where voicing opinions outside the state's narrative feels like you're Proctor and Mauser at the Blue Oyster Bar.

Putin is learning what Hitler found out in Stalingrad, that hell hath no fury like a babuska with an AK-47. It is almost that Ukraine had to prove that it was a "for real" country and not a USSR escapee that would be better off back behind a new iron curtain. Their freedoms are being won again in blood. Virus has nothing to do with this. Besides, in the US Uncle Joe from Scranton will be telling us how great everything is Tuesday night. I think it is a mistake to assume that the elites forming the globalist cabal won't automatically have disputes and fights between them (after all the US and European Union countries are undoubtedly allies but that did not stop trade disputes over bananas and Airbus; nor did it stop a certain Ms Nuland saying the EU can go get screwed (in more vulgar language) when it came to Ukraine).

This isn't an organised distraction (though many in the West are milking it to serve as a distraction) but a real war with real stakes and real goals. Russia seems likely to reshape Ukraine to be at least something approaching Georgia, where it is chastened, and neutral and tries to carefully balance relational with Russia and the West even if economically it still maintains the EU association agreement. Ukraine becoming more like Belarus is also a possibility. Stephanie Brail (the Wholistic newsletter on substack) republished a timeline that was based on mainstream Western media sources that strongly hints at just how Western elites have gone against their own putative interests in collaborating with Chinese elites and how they effectively colonised Ukraine to turn into a rent-providing fief (when highly politically connected western persons with no experience in oil and gas can sit on a board of a Ukrainian energy company and be protected from investigation there is no other way to describe this than Western leaders duping ordinary Ukrainians about the prospects of joining the West while covertly turning Ukraine into a cash cow for themselves and their arms companies)

One can have factions even within supposedly unified groups such as political parties, why expect a global cabal of elites not to have factions too?

What's telling here is that Russia and China have clearly begun to coordinate more. India to some extent too (though less so because of their still active disputes with China). What happens here is a dress rehearsal for what happens in Taiwan within 10-15 years (anytime between tomorrow and 2037) - China will move in, Russia will back China and help cushion China from Western sanctions (or even a Western blockade of the South and East China Seas). And the same Rupee/Rouble payment system that India has proposed (and which is based off a system India used for Iran to get around Western sanctions) can be repurposed to include the Yuan in the future.
