Excess deaths in Wales reach 34% & other Covid News

Week two in England and Wales saw excess deaths shoot up again. In England they were 18.8% higher and in Wales 28.7%. However, as I noted in a previous article, the ONS have started using figures from 2021 and 2022 to calculate their averages. As these were abnormal years this skews the numbers. Using the previous five year average (2015-2019) means excess deaths in England are 23% higher (3,047 deaths) and in Wales a whopping 34% higher (299 deaths).
Overall, in the first two weeks of January, the UK has experience a 36% increase in excess deaths. This works out at approximately 25,000 excess deaths over the last quarter. Or 21 excess deaths every hour.
Maybe we’ve all been eating too many eggs over Christmas?
A research paper in BMC Infectious Diseases undertook a survey of 2,340 participants between 18 December and 23 December 2021. Part of the analysis tried to estimated the proportion of fatal events from COVID-19 vaccinations which was then compared with data from the VAERS database.
The survey found that 22% of respondents knew at least one person who had experienced a severe health problem following COVID-19 vaccination. Using that information, the authors estimate that as many as 278,000 fatalities may have occurred in the US due to the vaccines. Karl Denninger estimates that the risk of death from vaccination, using those data, is 1 in 500, and reminds his readers this doesn’t include any deaths past 2021.
Richard Dearlove, former head of MI6, once again voiced his opinions on Covid origins. He tells viewers that he thinks the zoonotic jump hypothesis is very unlikely and that the evidence for a leak from the WIV, after Gain of Function work, is overwhelming.
On the other side of the planet, Bill Gates is warning Australia to prepare for the next pandemic which could be man-made. Because this one definitely wasn’t - a preposterous idea - but the next one definitely could be. And far more brutal, according to Mr. Microsoft.
Gates praised zero Covid policies, testing and quarantine policies.
New York Governor, Kathy Hochul, said she won’t rehire unvaccinated healthcare workers despite a Supreme Court Judge deeming vaccine mandates null and void.
Clearly stuck in 2021, she said she doesn’t want someone who comes in sick to be exposed to someone who can give them COVID-19. “I cannot put people into harms way”.
Damar Hamlin is back in action attending the Buffalo Bill game last night. But in some very strange footage, he never actually shows his face. Furthermore, he seemed very agile for a man who was on death’s door a few weeks ago, waving his arms up and down for the crowd.
Clearly this was done to provoke a reaction but for what reason? To make all the conspiracy theorists talk about him really being dead or just for some NFL advertising?

It's sort of strange how the smaller euro countries are giving us better data than the US government, but I imagine that it's much more difficult to hide excess deaths in a smaller population.
