First the authorities tried to adjourn Djokovic’s hearing for three days - they failed and Djokovic won his appeal to stay in Australia.
Next, the government were looking at using executive powers to deport him anyway but so far that has not happened.
Yesterday, Der Spiegel English claimed that the PCR test Novak had used to get his vaccine exemption had been doctored. They said that looking at the court documents revealed an inaccuracy with the timestamp on the PCR test results. The number in red below is a Unix timestamp which represents seconds since 1/1/1970. So the time stamp of Novak’s positive PCR test was 26 December 2021 when he was claiming he tested positive on 16 December 2021.
If that analysis was correct then he should not be allowed in the country as not enough time had elapsed since his positive test. However, it seems that this can be explained by the fact that this is the timestamp for when the document was downloaded, not produced.
They also find other anomalies with the confirmation codes on the test results page. Each confirmation code has an ascending ID number and his positive test (no 7371999) seems to indicate it took place AFTER his negative test results (no 7320919). Furthermore, 75,000 tests were performed between the date Djokovic claimed to have a positive test result (16 December) and his negative test result (22 December) but using his test IDs, there is only a difference of 50,000.
Now, there are multiple reports of Novak having been in other countries, after claiming not to have been on his visa entry papers. He is also pictured with numerous people after his positive test results and so has had to, today, release a statement (the beginning of which is below).
Whatever the truth is, it is clear that the Australian authorities have been all out to get Djokovic since day 1. They are not letting up either. The test result inconsistencies, reports of being in other countries and photos of him after testing positive do not give me much confidence.
Let’s hope Djokovic has stuck doggedly to the rules, as his court victory was a great blow to the authoritarian Australian government. A reversal of this decision, especially due to fraud, would massively diminish his victory and his stance regarding freedom of choice over vaccination.
I believe the guy.
Your going to trust the experts and government authorities in Australia??
They have been so open and tolerant with their citizens.
It’s returned to its roots as a penal colonial.
It's hard to believe that Djokovic had to fake a test when he could have easily acquired a vaccination passport. In communist countries, corruption was the rule in the medical world. This has largely remained true in the poorer countries of Eastern Europe. Or he could have simply invoked the national interest to get it from the state authorities.
