Someone needs to give our leaders’ heads a wobble…and quickly. Or at the very least show them this graph which shows that high-income, low-energy countries just don’t exist.

Because yesterday, the UN “voted 141-8 to adopt a resolution backing a world court opinion that countries have a legal obligation to address climate change,” meaning what they really voted for is your continued impoverishment.

Predictably, the US, Russia, Iran and Saudia Arabia opposed the measure but sadly, also predictably, the UK, Germany, France and Australia signed their own death warrants.

“The resolution, brought by the Pacific island Vanuatu, affirms a July 2025 advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) that states are obligated to reduce fossil fuel use and tackle global warming.”

Now this crazy ideology has obligated that we reduce fossil fuel use and tackle global warming.

While not legally binding, the court’s advisory opinion is already being used in climate litigation around the world and judges are starting to reference it in their climate-related rulings.

  The Office for National Statistics said the jobless rate among 18 to 24-year-olds now stands at 14.7 per cent, a rate not seen since late 2014. For the wider 16 to 24-year-old age group, unemployment has soared to 16.2 per cent, the highest level since early 2015.

  That’s what you get when you force a minimum wage and allow cheap immigration to work for cash. AI and automation will only make this worse.

Gene Therapy Causes Patient to Grow Alarming Tumor

Futurism tells us that tinkering with the genetic code of a living human is risky. Who woulda thought it but let’s not mention that billions of people were forced to have gene therapy without being told it was gene therapy.

• In a new study published in The New England Journal of Medicine, researchers concluded that a young Hurler syndrome patient who received an adeno-associated virus (AAV) — used to deliver a therapeutic gene to the patient’s DNA — later developed a tumor due to the therapy.

• The patient’s illness, Hurler syndrome, stemmed from a mutation that thwarted an enzyme in his body, impacting brain development. A bone marrow transplant was unable to resolve the issue, which ultimately led to the gene therapy. After receiving the treatment, the boy’s brain began to develop appropriately for his age, but by age five, doctors spotted a walnut-sized tumor in his brain. The AAV, researchers came to believe, spurred the development of the tumor after it mutated an unintended gene.

Weighing up the risks, I would say that gene therapy for a horrible condition is worth it but being forced to have it in case you get a cold, is not.

Bitcoin Insurance for Persian Gulf Cargo: Iran Launches Hormuz Safe, Claims $10B Revenue

• Fars News Agency, an IRGC-affiliated Iranian state media outlet, published the originating report on May 16, 2026, citing a document obtained from the Ministry of Economy.

• The platform reportedly issues fast, cryptographically verifiable insurance policies for maritime cargo passing through the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and surrounding waterways.

• Payments are allegedly settled in bitcoin. Fars News states that from the moment of blockchain confirmation, cargo is covered, and a signed digital receipt is provided to the owner. The outlet frames the initiative as a sovereign Iranian tool for asserting financial control over one of the world’s most critical oil shipping chokepoints.

  Can one trust the Fars News Agency? Not a chance. The ‘Hormuz Safe’ website is still under construction so the scheme definitely isn’t in operation yet. If it ever will be. But Iran seems to be winning the meme wars, attracting those who view them as being the underdog in a corrupt, elitist world.

In the video in the ‘Worth Watching’ section below you can watch James Erdman III, a CIA whistleblower, giving evidence before the Senate Homeland Security Committee yesterday.

Erdman who, as a CIA operations officer, led the Director’s Initiatives Group’s Covid-19 origins investigations, testified under oath that Anthony Fauci’s role in covering up the lab leak hypothesis was completely intentional.

The timeline, according to Erdman, went something a bit like this:

• The CIA were considering calling Covid a lab-leak;

• Suddenly the documentation changed (but the CIA won’t provide the documentation to show why);

• A week later the mRNA vaccines were licensed;

• A day after that, the US military mandated vaccination on all service members.

I don’t think we need the CIA to release any documentation to show us why they changed their position.

Erdman says public health policy would have been very different had the public been made aware that the foundation of the mRNA product, licensed under Emergency Use Authorisation, came from a lab created virus.

Under oath, Erdman said that Fauci had used his institutional position to shape who the investigations team consulted with. A curated list of ‘experts’ all happened to be co-authors of the 2020 Nature Medicine paper that was used to discredit the lab-leak hypothesis.

The CIA also engaged in illegal surveillance of its own staff, according to Erdman. They monitored computer and phone usage of members of the investigation team, including when they met with whistleblowers.

This drama will continue on for ever until the public won’t care what the truth is. Nobody important will be held accountable and we’ll hear very little about the University of North Carolina and how the man-made virus got to Wuhan in the first place.

Washington refuses to endorse UN’s Global Compact on Migration and accuses it of actively running migration pipelines

This week, the US State Department under Marco Rubio confirmed that Washington has refused to endorse the latest UN review of the Global Compact for Migration — the international framework, adopted in 2018, that serves as the UN’s primary blueprint for what it calls “safe, orderly and regular migration.” No surprise there but what was less predictable was the specific accusations that accompanied the refusal.

“The United States will not legitimise global compacts that enable mass migration into America or Western nations,” the department said. And then it went further than that. “UN agencies — working with the NGOs they fund — established a migration corridor through Central America and to the US border,” the statement alleged. “As the American people suffered under an unprecedented wave of mass migration, the UN was on the ground pipelining migrants to our southern border.” It also accused UN officials of playing a similar role in Europe, claiming they had “staffed all ends of the Mediterranean migration route while condemning governments that resisted opening their borders.”

The UK, in particular, was singled out by name. The State Department accused UN officials of lobbying aviation regulators to prevent deportation flights for migrants arriving across the Channel, branding the alleged effort “an appalling violation of the UK’s national sovereignty.”

Alongside this, Washington has released a 33-page national security strategy that pledges to “cultivate resistance” within Europe and revive “Western identity.” The document states: “It is more than plausible that within a few decades at the latest, certain NATO members will become majority non-European.” Whether that projection is accurate, alarmist, or somewhere in between, mass immigration is a legitimate debate that European politicians still refuse to engage with.

The Trump administration is saying that the migration compact has been used by agencies and NGOs to advance agendas that go well beyond what most electorates have democratically sanctioned. And taking a look at the precise language used is interesting. “Pipelining migrants.” “Staffed all ends of the Mediterranean migration route.” These are operational descriptions which it sounds like the US government has evidence of.

Social media is awash with cries of racist language. However, the term ‘Replacement Migration’ is a direct quote from the UN itself.

The Covid playbook is back…but this time it’s nothing to do with a virus

On Sunday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the subject of rising energy costs. The Iranian war, and its effect on global oil prices, is hitting India hard - the country imports roughly 85-90% of its crude oil, making it acutely vulnerable to any sustained disruption to Middle Eastern supply. Modi’s response to this was not out of the blue but the language he chose is worth looking at.

“During the Corona period,” Modi said, “we adopted work from home, online meetings, video conferences and developed many such systems. We had also become accustomed to them. Today, the need of the hour is that we restart those practices, as it would be in the national interest and we must once again give them priority.” He also asked people to avoid buying gold for weddings for a year, limit foreign travel and to reduce dependence on imported chemical fertilisers.

What is happening here has always been the fear since governments around the world used Covid to introduce these draconian concepts. And now a head of government is explicitly reaching back to the Covid emergency compliance architecture - complete with its habits, systems and social norms - and redeploying them to manage an economic and geopolitical shock. Modi is trying to invoke a precedent. But the precedent isn’t the health emergency, it’s the compliance.

Of course, India is in a genuinely difficult position. It’s not a wealthy country in per-capita terms, it’s heavily exposed to oil import costs, and the Iran war is a shock over which it has essentially no control. You could argue that Modi’s requests are pragmatic rather than sinister - that working from home during an energy crunch is simply sensible advice, whatever language it is dressed in. But, Covid has taught us to be vigilant.

Evidence that India is the first mover, rather than an outlier can be found elsewhere in today’s edition. Eric Nuttall - partner and senior portfolio manager at Ninepoint Partners - is quoted saying that the world is “weeks away from oil rationing” and that “work-from-home mandates, similar to measures adopted by governments in South Korea and Singapore” are already being discussed as tools of demand management. Furthermore, the airport association ADV is warning of 20 million affected passengers in a worst-case scenario, Japan appears to be selling US Treasury debt to support the yen and yields are already rising under the pressure of the oil shock and its fiscal implications.

So, the question is not whether Modi’s speech was reasonable in isolation but whether we are witnessing the early stages of a broader shift in which Covid-era compliance language and mechanisms become the standard toolkit for governments managing large economic disruptions — regardless of whether Covid/Hantavirus (delete as necessary) is involved. The pandemic allowed this apparatus to be built and rather than dismantling it, rather quietly, it is being switched back on.

India won’t be the last country to reach for this particular lever over the next few months.

1. The Oil Futures Market Is Lying to Us

   Even if conditions stay just as they are, the rapid drop in inventories, unless arrested, will trigger another bout of buying. In the most optimistic scenario, where Hormuz opens immediately, it would still take months to first clear the backlog of blocked tankers, then clear local oil in storage and finally bring shut-in wells back into production.

2. No Way Out: Why Permanent Damage to Persian Gulf Oil Wells Begins Now

   The oil wells of Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and the UAE are not like a garden hose. They are mature, low-pressure reservoirs that require precise gas injection to maintain flow. Once that flow stops, water encroachment -- what engineers call water coning -- traps oil behind barriers of saltwater that are nearly impossible to reverse. Worse, paraffin waxes and asphaltenes precipitate inside the wellbore tubing, clogging the rock pores with solid deposits.
